What's the future of this game?

Hey all my fellow RoR players!
Please forgive my poor english grammar!

As playing this game since 2008 til the end of the day, then hup up this server at the same time of the shutdown, it's been few years now. Can we roll back to review our changed on ORvR? Are we on the right track? If yes, where are the players? If I remembered correct, it should more than 1000 people online at weekend right here right now, please take a look the server status now, 233/1400 at 2016-12-10 00:59:59. It was the golden highest population before. What happening?

Since last changed on oRvR, the BO locked times from 15min to 3-5min, and the capture times cahnged too. Specially on T4 zones, people just marked around for defending the Bos, but more facts are they just farming BOs cause small grp can't attack the keep even they reached the high rank like 3 stars. Then what? the BOs lost in sec (3mins locked, OMG!) Between 2 Bos, I guess the distance was more than 3mins, then how possible defend/retake the BO? Or someone would say there should get some people stay at flag to defend it, but was it worth it? It's just 3mins lock-down, after that, a small group of defender should be faced an big group of attacker, definitly not worth it. Why not change to locked down times a bit more longer?

As last time on Destro side, we attcking KV, I was joined at mid time of the fight, but over few hours, i think more than 3hrs, still no chance to get the keep. So I changed back to lower tier char. After that, my mates said they played almost one day and one night (OMFG!!), the status as same as like start, nothing change. So are we worth to spend those times keep playing? We all living arroundings an fast paced, at work, at home, at anywhere. If we played this slow motion oRvR over 10+ hrs got nothing back, people will leave. We all talk about benefit, no benefit mean no worth to continue. As same as oRvR, no benefit result for cap the zone then no one come back. If you have family, kids, husband, wife, pets, more and more times on them and less times on RoR. So the benefit on the game will become more important. As exmple myself, I worked at afternoon shift, 2pm - 10pm; Every night I will spent 3 to 4hrs on this game, more on weekend. I had family, wife and 2 big children. It's great game to keep played since 2008, but now I felt so boring. my position getting more important than the former times, so I need spent more times on my work, less on entaintment. RoR is the only game after work at normal weekday. But now it's getting so boring! All tier are dead like ghost zone. SC always un-balanced. Not only weekday, even weekend like now, Oceanic timezone. We are losing players. It's true. It's facts!

It's time to face the fact. Are we on the right track? I knew the Devs all worked really hard to bring the game back to normal, but it's changed to bad, and too fast. It's definetly not worth to play those long hours got nothing benefit, it's not suit the modern life and wrok rhythm. If we keep this going on, then what difference with the old EA at last couple months before they shutdown?

I really love this game, love it started at begining! Please make it better and best, please don't walk into EA old track, if you really want to beat them!

Forgive me the poor english grammar, again!

For the best WAAAGH! and Sigmar! Keep it up guys!

Cheers!

I think we are on the right track, making the game better with each successful change (not counting the iterations needed to get where we intend to be). I also think that a lot of our population is waiting for some more content before coming back (like fortresses and dungeons).

I we will never fall into the same pit as EA/Mythic did as we are not on the leash of a publisher trying to push money into the pockets. We are just a bunch of hardcore fans trying to make the game as good as it can be. :P

More likely, I love this game it's about ORvR, dungeons and LOTD. At least there still somewhere someplace to play too. It's great news about that :D But ORvR is the main act in this game, we can't changed the basic. What difference of RvR and PvP? Please explain the difference?

If you mean the difference between PvP and ORvR then its the large scale as well as the objective focus with the small inclusion of PvE elements, but the major difference is the focus on objectives.

I think your answer is correct. Let's talk about the changed of objectives and Keep? What's the main objective for the changed all the times? I mean the BOs lockdown. My mates said if possible back to last two months, they think the fights are more interesting and funs. Also the renown and influence's earn getting more faster than now. Now it like pain at ass, spent whole day got nothing. Since this account's database collapsed, I can't log since 2-3weeks. I used new account continued my new chars but my group was chats all the times when they playing (in guild channel, and in social media app). So I knew the pain

Hell what? Never Got so fast and easy renown since last 3 weeks. Played my shammy from 51 to 57. Tanks to Lot of aao. Sure If u play on order side and outnumber the destru side with 200% aao like last time u get not much renown. The Fast bo flipping Thing As a Thing from aao too. The Timer is very fast If u are outnumberd

Well OP is right that there was a very noticeable population drop in last few weeks and it seems this trend is continuing.

As for ORVR - I am secretly hoping that current situation is in order to teach population to cooperate more, form ORVR guilds, more oRVR leaders to shows, etc and somewhere down the line changes will be made to ORVR system.

Well, i had no T4 chars on this account since can't log in anymore. And I'm not worried about T4 cuz I'm a casual palyer. If you spent all your times on 1 char at T4 ofcuz u can get faster earn, but I'm talk about those players like me. What about T2 and T3? If we like other skip the T2 and T3, powerlevel with mobs farming, yes we can reach T4 very easily. Then what, renown rank is 1 or max to 10, no gears can wearable, then we all are glass-canons. I think no any warband like those glass-canons. Because they can't get any fight at T2 and T3 to lvling up their rank. No renown or lower rank mean nothing in this game. Yes, you can said we can get renown from SC. If the no players online at the current tier to queue SC, where is the SC come from?

The mistake the OP makes is speculation.

Yes, it is perfectly possible that players are leaving because of RvR, or because of balance changes, or because of staff disagreements. It is also just as possible that they are leaving because we are currently in something of a rut regarding progress.

The server's momentum has been held up to this point by progress. Progress in restoring the game, visible progress, such as the introduction of new tiers, new skills, the gradual and constant return to a full state of the game. But when we hit Tier 4, we hit the point at which the unifying factors of collective anticipation of new content and 99% adherence to 1.4.8 Age of Reckoning faded. We're now in a period in which we must wait in order to make progress. Fortresses, cities, dungeons and expanded PvE require instance code, and the first two require an RvR system to be developed which fully works. Resolving balance issues in a correct fashion and solving crossrealming require client control. Frustrating bugs like warband crashing and lag still exist. With no sight of additional content on the horizon, from the community perspective, it is easy for people to lose interest until such content returns and the game is more stable.

Do not forget that this didn't become a full game overnight. It's still an alpha server and has all the vulnerabilities of alpha projects everywhere. That people have been able to treat it as if it were some kind of full game is a double-edged sword, as it inflates their own expectations.
