Is scavenging even worth it?

Hi, I've got a tali maker with salvaging and have just finished levelling scavenging to 200 on an alt. It doesn't seem worth it, am I missing the point? feels like I'd be better off with salvaging on the alt too for purples from influence and bags

No other way to get armor talis.

So from that can I take it is only worth it if you want armour talis

Armor talis are worth a lot, so even if you don't use them yourself (you probably should), you can sell the fragments for enough to pay for several +24 of any other stat.

Ok, thanks both, will look into what to kill and drop rate and see if farming just for armour fragments is something I can stay awake through

Scavenging is great for getting curios too, and gold dust sometimes
