I am at this stage where I want to create an alt and am trying to decide between mSH and WE. Usually I really enjoy the hit and run playstyle and wonder which class is better suited for it. I am leaning to go mSH but am scared of the broken gearing. It seems that mSH needs a lot of PVE gear to be competitive which I hate. So can someone compare WE with mSH for me?

There is a build out there for defensive WE. Basically revolves around self heal from kiss's, shield from trait and using WB to war of attrition your opponents down. It can be very strong and can 1v1 most classes. That being said it should never kill a healed since it is sustained damage not burst.

I also hear onslaught is really good for We/wh. I plan on getting at least the 4pc/3bl/3 gensis/ and maybe 2pc conq for the str set bonus.

mSH has amazing team utility, no cd pounce, quite solid aoe damage. (basically everything WE does not have)

WE on the other hand has reasonably solid ST.(not even near enough to justify being locked into it mind you, especially when you compare it to choppas, wls, asws&such) If you find likeminded WEs it can be fun, until you hit a brick wall with Invader+

Dont give up on the class if you enjoy it. I know you have had some awesome experiences playing it if you are around RR60+. Some of those memories are the greatest and you cant get them on other classes.

Maybe if we all have meaningful discussion on the class other than "This class sucks! We Need Buffs!!" then the devs will take notice and try some things to help out theses classes.

Last night was one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had in any game, EVER. It was in C W as order and we were fighting against a bugged keep. (They would die yet respawn in the keep even though we were on the lord)

The GM got involved in the game during the siege... he took out the keep because of the crazy scenario that happened and then it was on to fort. On the way to for the GM told us to turn up game volume....well you had to have been there.

My point is, these game Devs and GMs play the game and are gamers like us. If enough of us provide some meaningful feedback we may get some love. In the meantime, dont give up on your class. I need witches to kill with my witch hunter.
For me the real fun of WE/WH was before broad severing hard nerf patch a couple weeks ago. It sapped the fun out of the class for me and i seriously doubt it was given any kind of thought, from a player perspective. It wasn't perfect, but it was... something. Maybe it's worse because Mara became a really really good class around the same timeframe WE got **** on, but still

I think I am going to focus on ganking with this alt. Maybe with a friend of mine who plays chosen. So what I am looking for is the ability to do big burst and quickly disengage.

A problem lies I'm this part of the statement. If you use stealth to engage it will likely not be up in time to disengage because of the 30s cd. Your disengage has to be self punt/vanish/sprint or all 3. There will be no I'm, blow someone up escape and restealth after like 10/15s like in other mmos.
