I said it earlier. to exact perfect balanced experience we just need only naked slayers and choppas with only abiltiy - lotsa chopping and flurry.

I do not agree with you... except in this case.

In WAR, dying is more of a inconvenience of the most temporary kind. The real basis of more vs less skill is how well you trade before you die (in my opinion). But the healing curve throws that out the window.

If you can just make a single tank immortal to an entire warband and he has enough dps to destroy your ranks while draping the countryside in auras, there is no good trade for that. They win by stepping on the field in a way that no one really finds fun, well maybe super tank.

It would be interesting if it were indeed “what can you do before the fight claims you” rather than “Ah well, shes pocket healed by a guarded healer again and we only have twenty people, guess we are done here”

I like T1 immensely, tho AMs in particular are annoying as fk 1v1 vs any class, and RPs can be a real issue if played well (I do not yet know how to play one well, despite seemingly being passable as Zealot, go figure). Despite having plenty of DPS toons, I just happily hackahackhack on thru and hope enough ppl are smart enough to also focus the healers w/me, in order to allow victory. I always kill the healer first, if I can get there. Pretty much the same deal in every game I have seen, even those where healing was almost all HoTs.

In grps, it is, ofc, all abt the grp. Drawing the hlr out (to their focused demise) is just part of the MWUHAHAHA!
Come and get one in the yarbles, if ya have any yarbles, you eunuch jelly thou!

As someone who has recently created a character and has only about 12 or so hours into the game, i have actually gotten to Rank 19. It has all been done by mostly RVR. I haven't really had a problem leveling, yes there have been slow periods when there is little RVR to be had but I managed. Not sure why there are so many complaints? I didn't really have an issue of being targeted by higher levels either.

One way to circumvent the boring RvDoor grinding for low levels in t2, as someone else suggested, is to level up farming materials for your profession. Its slower and even more boring maybe but it saves you some time that you would have to spend later on anyway. The problem is that you don't earn renown while farming mobs, and in the end renown is far more important than exp in this game. If the aim of the game is to have fun while you gain renown ranks, stop exp book like we had in the final stages of old WAR might be a good thing. You can level and twink your character decently for level 11 in a few hours, unlike if you had to make it competitive for level 26, and you can have hours of fun while your renown ranks go up, until you decide that you've had enough of t1 and move on, with lots of renown gained. Then you can level from 11 to 20+ farming the materials for your crafting. Moreover, zone locks aren't granting medallions yet in t2 afaik, and the RvR rewards aren't really better than green lvl 23-26 stuff you can get in War Quarters.

Maybe I have overlooked many disadvantages of stop exp books, I am open to criticism, sorry if I have forgotten something. Thanks in advance for your input.

There is no downside of no xp books, when the bolster is working for max tier rank and lotd is left out.
