WH: Total War, Vermintide or 40K Eternal Crusade

Rule 1 to a Dwarf army: NEVER CHARGE. Hold the line, bombard the enemy, maintain your flanks. Nothing good comes from attempting a charge with the slowest units in-game, without cavalry support. Relying on your firepower and technology yields the most results.

You are absolutely right, I only charge when the enemy gets close enough for charge bonus, otherwise dwarfs have a stationary playstyle. I actually made a strategic guide on reddit which was seen by thousands.

Eternal crusade looks pretty disappointing so far. The melee is horrible, the voice acting and a good portion of the animations are very cringey, the maps are entirely generic and have no flavor to them, and it's not even an MMO anymore.

Yeah I agree, people were so excited when we finally got news of a WH:40K MMO after Dark Millenium https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zt5e2OX9FUk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZ0EJdhR43Q was canceled, and Behaviour who are making Eternal Crusade were talking so much about this and that and you name it and fans called out to them not to **** it up because people just love Warhammer overall and especially 40K then when early access was released you suddenly realized they were going in a different direction than spoken, that's why I loved the original mmorpg concept of Dark Millenium, I think the gameplay trailer looked great and I was so much looking forward to it but it broke my heart when it was canceled, now Eternal Crusade looks even worse even though it's early access you can see in what direction they are going for.

So far most fun for me has been Mordheim.

I was super excited about Total War but to be honest once you figure it out it is so ridiculously easy it is no longer fun.

Vermintide looks interesting but it is really not my type of game.

I also have Battlefleet Gothic and WH:TW, and though both are really fun, Mordheim has top spot on time spent... Edit: 393 hrs according to steam...

I never tried vermintide. I have never enjoyed mass slashers. And Eternal crusade actually looks like it could be a butt load of fun. When it's done...

I've been dumping a ton of time in to WH:TW (especially since I play it with a friend in co-op campaigns). Vermintide is a blast, but I can only take a few weeks of it at a time.

Vermintide was great fun, I just can't compulsively play those kinds of games for an extended period of time. Same thing with Left 4 dead.

Um... Actually? The name of the game is not "Warhammer Total War" or even "WH: Total War". The name of the game is Total War: Warhammer. However, to be more precise, the legal name of the game if you'd bother to look it up is Total War Warhammer Hammer Hammer : Hammer.
