renown is either 4crit 4parry 2fs or 3crit 4parry 3fs standard like any other mdps

gear:

5warlord 3-4vic (helm, belt, boots, ring = victorious and rest of your armor slots go to warlord) this setup is most common setup and best overall. there are other mixes like 3sov/3warlord/3vic or 5warlord/2sov/2vic but 5warlord/3-4vic is the cheapest and simplest to build because it doesn't require a ranked ring therefore it is my recommendation for a new dps WP.

I'm more of a fan of the armour pen tactic. I've found it does more damage and has better utility when using anything other than bludgeon spam.

you mean armed pen with guilty soul or 25 auto attack with armor pen?

When you strike a target with bludgeon your armour penetration is increased by 15%.

Edit- Strike that, seems like I was wrong. It is actually better
