[Ironbreaker] The Crucible: Class discussion and guides

One of the problems that I have found about playing on this server is the lack of guides and general knowledge that most games that are active have. I was hoping to create that here with all of the Ironbreaker veterans being able to help make guides and get a good discussion going.

Some of the things that would be good to discuss, have links to outside sources, or have write ups on:
Mechanic basics
Pros and Cons of the class
Builds; both Tank and DPS
Stat Weights and what values you should stack to before changing priority
Sets and if it is better to go for a 5 piece bonus or to split bonuses between sets.
RVR strategies
Scenario Strategies

One of the best and balanced classes in the game imho and would be the best tank on order if it wasnt for KOTBS shenanigans also one of the few tanks in the game that are legit even as 2H

One of the things i like about IB is the punt is great nice distance and veticality at only 25 resource, its no bg punt but when you punt some one into the sky, it dosnt matter which layer of the atmosphere they get sent to

For the current level and cap this are the best options imo:

Oathbound is on both cases better than the alternative (fury born grudge + great weapon mastery for 2h and Grumble and mutter for shield spec) Fury born grudge sucks because its a channel and the benefit of the tactic is not as good as oathbound, you lose 15% parry, that you will need if you are guarding for extra 5 damage, on shield the heal is not enough for it to matter yet.

So, how should a layman specc his RR? i just started doing 2Hand and i get a hell lot dmg because i use uard as well to support the group. any advice?

well i try to find a blance between tough and str but it seems to not work for me. maybe my RR is yet too low. strangely i doesn't feel like the same when i fight against 2H destro tanks, they seem to be tougher, i dob't know

2H IB without knockdown makes no sense.

I really love the look and lore of Ironbreakers, but somehow I feel useless in Scenarios and Open RvR when things get zergy, and this always put me off playing the class...but I really wanna level one...Do you guys have any advice for a newbie IB to "git gud", and also would like to play a non cookie-cutter tank/dps buld? Thanks in advance ma boys
