So what are you changing?Azarael wrote:Just realised I can't change the RF cost at the moment, so all that can be done is increasing the CD or changing the mechanics.

Re: festering IB's
I'm not changing anything, nor do I imply that I will change anything in the short term. I'm participating in the topic to see what the proposed solutions to CP / EP will be, and to advise on what is currently within my power to change.
Re: festering IB's
I think if you gave shamans/AMs the ability to cleanse all three types of dots, considering the sham/AM strength is in their hots and single target heals and prevenative measures, giving them a powerful cleanse might bring them more in line...Azarael wrote:Just realised I can't change the RF cost at the moment, so all that can be done is increasing the CD or changing the mechanics.
It's unfortunate that WAR wasn't live longer, AMs/Shamans were about to get a HUGE overhaul, making their career mechanic more viable, and making a hybrid spec power for the course.

Tell that to BOs/SMs...Gobtar wrote:

Those changes were actually shot down hard by the community when they were proposed, and were cancelled. I personally thought they were great, but enough vocal people scared Mythic off the idea.Gobtar wrote:Azarael wrote:It's unfortunate that WAR wasn't live longer, AMs/Shamans were about to get a HUGE overhaul, making their career mechanic more viable, and making a hybrid spec power for the course.

Seems like short-term, we can't do much here. Long term, maybe it would be fair to make it cost 10-25 more resource?Azarael wrote:I'm not changing anything, nor do I imply that I will change anything in the short term. IIRC the only thing that got shut down was the mechanic change, which i didnt like either.Genisaurus wrote:Those changes were actually shot down hard by the community when they were proposed, and were cancelled. The rest of what he mentions was implemented, the aoe life tap and all of that, still garbage.
If its not 6 times the resource, it should not cleanse 6 times the amount the other healers do.Genisaurus wrote:Seems like short-term, we can't do much here. Long term, maybe it would be fair to make it cost 10-25 more resource?
I mean, if he had to use the 150 rf to cleanse the entire group and then had to use supplication, he would still be able to cleanse the entire group every time purify was up and it would still be 6 times the cleanse the rest of the healers can do.
How anyone thinks this is good balance, is lost on me.
Re: festering IB's
What? Why? Are people that scared of change, that making the lower end healer somewhat competetive? or was it the 0.5% of AMs that actually hybrid? or people worried that DPS AMs would be even better...I dunno, it just seems like Change is big scary and nobody likes it, with the amount of stagnation that players want, Nurgle, not Tzeentch, should have been the main god of this game.Genisaurus wrote:

Concerning group cleanse: This hurts Magus/Engies the most out of all classes in the game. I would either make it so Dok/WP can't cleanse Magus/Engie (like i proposed in a few posts earlier by changing hex/curse/ailment on the Cleanses) OR i would change the skills so instead of removing one effect from the whole group, it removes 2 from one target.
Concerning Shaman/AM: They are amazing healers when left alone, but suffer when forced to kite. Maybe if they could cast their bigger heals while moving? (those can still be interrupted)

Re: festering IB's
As i said, most of that except the mechanic actually got in and the mechanic wouldnt make them somewhat competitive, would just remove the idea that made a lot of people play the class.Gobtar wrote:What? Its the idea of an AM/Shaman using heals then damage then back to heals idiotic because if you spec for heals you cant do damage and viceversa? yeah but it was still fun a lot of times, you would be healing and then fire than instant law of gold, use it for quick fury+searing touch so you could down that guy in the alloted TTK, it wasnt so bad.
The new mechanic was just, meh,I mean, if i wanted to play a healbot, i would play salvation WP.
The whole idea of heal and get even better at healing was so against why i picked AM over the other 2 healing classes.
That would be broken and just make shaman hilariously hard to deal with.Penril wrote:Concerning Shaman/AM: They are amazing healers when left alone, but suffer when forced to kite. Maybe if they could cast their bigger heals while moving? (those can still be interrupted)
