Recurring CTD during sieges

Not sure if this goes here, but over the last couple of days I've experienced numerous crashes to desktop. Coincidence or not, but all during keep sieges. This was never an issue for me before but appears to be (from what i can tell) occuring since on of the patches last week(s).

Anyone else having this problem? If it is local, any thoughts on how to fix it?

I never used to crash my last time I played this(months and months and months ago heh).

Upon returning, any major keep assault/defense though yeah, I almost guarantee a crash once per fight. Don't know what it is.

People have told me that you need to set the graphical stuff espically the effects to low

and this has increased stabiliy quite a bit even if it sucks for gamesense as you can see AoE effects but even then in large seiges i crash atleast 2-3 times

Try using BuffHead version by OldSerpent here :
viewtopic.php?f=66&t=30050&sid=1ac123eb ... eb6a2b0235

It is not without issues (sometimes overhead icons position became messed up for me), but this version completely eliminated the inevitable CtD I had before, when fighting large groups on 3rd floor of keep.

(And I'm running with full graphics btw). The lag now is only because population and server performances, working like a charm client-side ;)
