[Archmage] Versitale build?

Greetings!

Okay, so I want to try out some Archmage and I have a question about the build:

Which build would make the most sense in my case? That would be: I'm mainly underway alone, because I have no friends which play RoR (may their horrible mainstream tastes and preference for mainstream consoles be cursed! :x), BUT occasionally I'm in a group as well, like at special events like RvR, PvP and public quests of course. I really like healing, but I can't focus on healing only, I'd like to have some enemies a bad day as well, not only debuff them, damage has to be there as well. I mean "kill a sh*t" ain't a funny gameplay.

For a player, sometimes teamplaying and mostly solo, which path should I focus on mainly? Or shall I take a "jack of all trades"-build? Isha, Vaul or Asuryan? Suggestions are wished-for, especially from experienced players. :)

OH AND PLEASE NOTE: I'm pretty much still trying out this game, so not too many "ingame language shortcuts" please.

Hai :)
My suggestion would be, spec DPS, respec to heal when the party/wb/group needs it.
There is no such thing as a "hybrid", at least not a viable one.
With DPS spec you can still insta res (very helpful) and throw a hot here and there.
Have fun!

This game is all about making groups. Game with group is much more fun. I also didnt have friends. I made playing war. Join a guild and play in group. You should play alone only when is not possible to play in party or warband. If you realy like healing as u say focus on isha path and full focus on healing. I play this game 4 years.

A well played DPS AM can put out the same amount of healing as damage or even more if the situation allows. Mostly from group healing @5 mechanic, group healing with FM up, and hots/leech here and there.

While the numbers on the scoreboard will always look pitiful to grace WP (hybrid?) in terms of healing output AM does not have anywhere near the same risk or supported needed as grace WP.

AM also brings bubble, puddle, resist buff, insta res, incoming healdebuff, and blessing removal(?)

Basically if you play it right it can be very good even pugging, DPS AM are also really good right now in 3-2-1 groups I absolutely love them.

The only thing a dps AM gonna be able to heal is rdps thats really good at kiting.....if you have any melee on the team then you're not gonna be able to keep em up. Not with lifetaps not with normal heals. It's not a mather of skill. It's just the mather of incomming dmg being so much higher then your heals. It's basicly just a waste of AP trying to keep em up. You're better of just killing their dps and mitigrate dmg that way instead.

If you however see someone on low health that managed to get away without being killed, you should heal him back up. Seeing alot of dps AM/Shamans not doing this, And thats is completly wasting the class's potential.

Vaul AM is pretty good at healing single targets. Outside of M2 AOE is a real problem.

Yes... makes sense... I've also seen that. Players are so blinded by "getting kills" so they're running into their sure death... and healers don't like it at all to play babysitter and run after them. Stay with the group and take the position your role is supposed to take. Panic is around? Fall back, calm down and regroup.

Oh and damage is much faster than healing. Healing takes time and I agree with you, that "If you however see someone on low health that managed to get away without being killed, you should heal him".

the ress got 6 sec cd so it is pretty amazing that you could ressurect 3-4 ppl for 10 sec.
Beside the ress itself is useless if there is no following healing. It works for healers but should be used with some thought on rest
Mostly harmless
