Then again we dont want to **** with games workshop ip. Adding stuff that is not approved by them could get us shut down. We are still using the original client.
Thank you for taking your time to answer. That's exactly what I was thinking before I saw your answer: how come GW has allowed you to put the game back together?

They did not. But we are only a small project and get no money out of it. They simply dont care.

So, if that's correct, the very day Azarael receives a "cease and desist", it's all over? Isn't there a legal base for private nonprofit projects to use ips?

Man would it suck if they sent it.

Coming back at a fairly controversial time. Latest big batch few days ago pretty much changed RvR quite drastically, basically adding the elements of RvR 1.4.x system, removing much of the 'open' aspects of the battlefield.
Right now there is quite a few people with strong opinions of 'what is the right system', many varying greatly. Sometime ago a vote was held and although that was the most popular vote, persons like myself don't agree it's the best system..
Scenarios are good, have been.
Basic PvP gear is a huge grind, so I'd expect to play for a couple of months minimum (average person) to get basic Scenario staff + full Anni.

Other than that the game has lots of fixes coming regularly, some of them are debatable whether or not they are indeed fixes/improvements. It's all up to the GM's now.

Definitely jump in and complete the Halloween events created by the resident Dev's.

I'm not sure whether to ask, bc it's been a while since I last played: how would you, in simple words, explain these changes? If you could give examples of your definition of openness and how it's been affected, that's a plus.

I remember lots of people taking keeps, and/or lots of people in the open between opposing camps intentionally placed real close to one another.

Cheers!

rvr is being worked on continusly. Dont forget: This is a test server, you are testers. And we will use it for this purpose. changes might not always be right from the start but we try to listen to the community.
