Hey and please help me choose a class/faction

Hi Fellow Players!

I do now that this topic has been already beaten to death however I was not able to find sufficient answers to my questions and I would like to get your opinions on these topics. To provide some information on me, I have played a Disciple of Khaine on retail WAR on the max level, mainly a healer and now I would like to try something different. So without further ado, here are the questions:

1. Which faction should I choose and why? I'm mostly interested in doing scenarios and some RvR from time to time however I prefer a challenge and tend to choose the side which is the underdog/is less populated. Any tips on this?

2. Basing on the side/faction, I have a few classes I would like to play however I have no idea which and would like to ask you peeps for help - for Order it's either a Swordmaster (prefer the DPS version with some off-tanking) or the White Lion, while for Destruction it would be a Black Guard (also DPS with off-tanking) or a Witch Elf.

I would love to hear your opinions on this, and yes I know that the White Lion's pet is a bit "buggy/annyoing"

The which faction to choose question is up to you. Both are fun and have a lot of great and helpful players. The answer to that question would really boil down to what atmosphere do you enjoy the most? There is no real make or break point for either just which ever is your own personal preference. You will find reasons to like and dislike both sides and not one side is void of problems experienced on the other side. Both faction has their jerks and their xrealmers and whatever else you can think of. You wont escape any problem on either faction.

As for the classes, I would suggest you make one of each and play around with them for a moment. Also I would reference http://waronlinebuilder.org/ to see what each class has to offer and which you think suits your play style and that you will find most enjoyable.

It has always been my experience that when I let others make my decisions for me I am generally upset that I did not make my own and find myself unsatisfied with the choices of others. Just food for thought

Thanks for the info! I will just pick the faction based on the class.
Gonna check that site and take a good look since I have already leveled all of those classes to around 8-10 and I'm just asking for opinions which can help me with my decision

Or play whatever class you feel has the best lore, read up a bit on them it will help your connection to that class. Pretty much any class at this point is viable except engineer/magus in 6v6 but that will probably change sooner than later.

Also some classes I think are not "canon" in WHF lore so finding stuff about them might be hard.

I've read some just right now but I'm still lurking for more as I have just found only the basic stuff.

On Order, hard to not roll a Dwarf with such an awesome /special. Also my Archmage runs in RvR as a Bard, playing his Battle Harp.

Dont know what time zone you are in but a lot of the time when im online (west coast US PST) the pop shows more order then destro so its easier to ride that aao.

If you dont know anyone and plan on going it alone in pug groups melee dps is not always the easiest to start on and learn since you are at the mercy of the pug heals and tanks. Even the best melee when solo will have a very bad time if people refuse to guard or heal them.

Aye, Dwarf Guild means Dwarf Career, with a dwarven name too by the way.
