Oceanic Players - Do you use a proxy game service to play?

What I am looking for is more of a stable ping and if I can get somewhere near 250-300, it's very playable for me. However, I've been trying PingZapper but it just couldn't connect me to the game.

Can someone offer any other services that work? appreciate it.

I play from East coast Australia and don't really see the need for a proxy. Sure there is a bit of latency, but it's not that big of an issue or deal in my opinion.

I do not play with a proxy.
I play only ranged and healing classes to compensate for latency.

That's interesting. I play MDPS and tanks mainly and have a fine time with the latency.

Most of my guild (Magical Rainbow Ponies) are sitting on the East coast of Aus (Brisbane / Sydney, Canberra and those dirty Melbourners) and our average ping is around 305-315.

The odd one out is in Tasmania and he pings around 350-360.

On those sorts of levels you should be fine. The only real lag issues we see are when moving inbetween zones in the lakes and waiting for the server to pick up Zergs. That and some slight ability flight time lag on casters

its a good thing, that MMOs forgive a high ping much easier than fps.

I'm East Coast Australia. I don't use a proxy. Unless you move closer to the server your ping generally isn't going to improve.

I only have issues playing a WH as people just bunny hop away. Every other MDPS seems to be ok.

And someone did say that for some reason, proxy servers aren't allowed in this game. Any comments ?

This isn't true, we don't prevent people from using proxies to access the game.

Then something is wrong.

I use Pingzapper for every game I play and it simply will not login to RoR. If I disable PZ, I login without issue.
