Can we get an explantion about the T2 rats?

I'm hoping that the rats being removed will make people play a bit more in t2 RvR lakes and SCs, because it's painful trying to level with PvP in t2 right now. I have hated rats since they were originally implemented in live (though I did enjoy killing the people who farmed them) and after getting my AM to t2 and realizing all people were doing was killing rats really bummed me out. Maybe now things will get a bit more interesting.

When I log in I find the only thing to do to level is to go to PvE and kill mobs repeatedly and maybe a quest if its not bugged.

I think a solution is to make it 3 tiers, currently 4 tiers is killing RvR / SC's in the lower tiers.

the problem nowadays with lvl via rvr/sc's is the renown cap. The exp gain for such activities is much lower than renown gain so most of the time you are capped. Not sure if lower tiers killing quests are fixed but if they are that lower the exp income from rvr/sc even more and basiclly you need to pve to progress with reasonable rate.
Rats or not, recently the focus at lower tiers seems to be mobs pve grind

Renown should be put back to uncapped, especially with the removal of the rats. No disrespect, so please do not take it that way. You took away the biggest source of XP from t2, which is fine as it HOPEFULLY will make people actually fight for keeps, but then you removed the ability to gain as much renown as you wanted. So when people cap out before they rank up, they might be deterred from continuing to rvr. I am not sure if you get xp from Battle objectives in the lower tiers, but if you don't then there is another hit to the amount of xp you can gain.

yes unfortunately quest exp is extreamly low

Doesnt that depend on where you log off?
Or is it some other mechanic involved to get rested xp?

I get between 10-15 k xp for each quest + gold and stuff at lvl 36, since most quest requires you to kill x - stuff, 1 quest atm when I have rested xp gives me aprox 1-2 yellow bars.

So quests are tedious but grinding the same mobs over and over and over is fun? Youre in luck in the PvE areas there are literally thousands and thousands of mobs just waiting for you to farm....

Sorry but the RvR lakes are for RvR not "exciting" grinding.

I actually also prefer 'grinding' mobs as they say over quests. The quests are mostly killing x/x anyhow with just a bit of running between, at least with just fighting mobs you can explore and kill whatever you fancy.
to note: i do not include PQ's as 'quests' as i love PQ's and really cannot wait until more of those are working

for me the order of things i enjoy most in game was always something like RvR > Dungeons > PQ > Scen > Mob Grinding > Crafting > Questing

I basically would only do a quest if it had an item reward i needed (ie epic quests and the like)

T2 RvR has always been my favorite, such a shame and a pity keeps were broken when I was ranking up Nidwinrr through it. But with the debolster I'll be able to enjoy it anyway YAY.

If you don't like to do quests, grinding mobs solo is the way to go. That's what I've found out for myself and do. Of course I grind regularly mobs as I do find it relaxing and there's always those possible lucky drops, all for me alone.

Depending on your class you should be able to grind, including selling stuff to a merchant when your inv full + salvaging/butchering, between 2/3 up to 4 levels in 2 hours easily.

On destro (live) I always grinded through Shadowlands and Saphary (level 12->20) when I had too but I knew those zones by heart.

People who grind rats are not going to now go and fight because you removed the rats, they will just go to another champ spot that is not in rvr, which means you cant even gank them there so its even less action for everyone.
