War Lion role in WB

Uhh this feel like more like incognito Destro guys posting as WL, when you add my dps is too high and I don't know what my role is just feels like a bait thread...

Just a Destro who is leveling a WL and am trying to understand the current changes and the future and balance this with the complaints from WL (AP and WB) vs complaints by Destro burst.

Your role in warband is to log onto a useful class.

But seriously there is very little need for a high single target burst class unless you can take out a key target, alone, incredibly quickly, and not be a liability. Such a thing is not reasonable nor regularly feasible in normal warband clashes

I agree completely with what you have said.
In the past when i played on the Original game launch they typically used them for ganks on key targets.. Such as Healers / Pocket Healers / Witch Elf lol.

Now days there are so many people congested in one area you really want to get everyone in the AOE's to begin chipping away slowly at them.

There is no spot for WL in a "real" WB.
On Order you want something like 4-6 BWs, 1-2 Engis, 1-2 Slayers, 0.5 dps RP.
On Destro you want something like 3-5 Sorcs, 2-3 Maras, 1-2 Magus, 1 dps Zealot.

WL could do their Axe Spin every 13 sec or so, then spam that Slashing Blade AoE skill and even possibly add a tactic which adds a DoT to it, but the resulting dmg is absolutely subpar to other real WB classes, you are basically wasting a slot for the WB.
On the other hand, you could go on 1man suicide mission into enemy WB backline with your usual burst and hope that you get free reign over there. Knowing the usual evening zergs this is a high risk suicide mission where you explode upon your pounce landing.

Only useful thing you could do :

- Interrupt Moral Raze bomb with Echoing Roar and save your wb.
- Pull the AOE punt zealot with the leonine fenzied lion / or the Aoe sorc.
- That's it

The wl lack raw dmg in aoe mastery and have bad ap management for staple skills which mara have and should be just perfect mirrored imo

Meaning you half-assedly allow 1 dps RP to stay in WB until the 6th Fireclown logs online.
And depending on zerg conditions, at some point an AoE healdebuff just won't matter when the fight reaches critical mass and you either have enough firepower to melt enemy or not.

Maybe this is the point , but for me the class seems from the feedback to need changes away from the gank role and into a WB role . This would probably fix both side of the complaints except the “make Destro” mad part
