2/2/2 is the way to go - so if your are 5 only you have to leave out 1 tank 1heal or 1 dps.

1 Healer is bad in case he gets pressured -

so you can decide to either play with 1 dps or 1 tank only.. If you decide to play 1 dps only make sure your second tank (IB or SM) is doin some dmg aswell :)

i would recommend:

Warrior Priest + Runepriest as heal duo
KotBS as 1st Tank

and then one of the following combinations
- Slayer + White Lion (thanks to class design he can pounce in apply a short burst and charge out - therefore he is less guard dependant than other classes)
- Bright Wizard + Shadow Warrior (the range dps combo that can apply a heavy burst - especially effective if kotbs can punt properly but needs a front line or room to kite ... both is often missing in SC )
- White Lion + Shadow Warrior probably the weakest combo rn but the Shadow warrior brings what the WL misses: a Healdebuff (and is less guard dependant than another melee class)
- Slayer + Ironbreaker (ironbreaker brings a weaker armor debuff and less dmg than WL but additional stability)

in general i would say your dps combination should have an armor debuff in case a physical dmg class is involved and ALWAYS a Healdebuff !
Warhammer Return of Reckoning
Verey / Ashoris / Devoras

WaR -dead-
Erengrad - Order - Frostbringer - Devoras

Myself and 4 of my buddies are coming back to the game. We played way back when the game first came out and just saw this server. We have been reading and trying to see what's, what nowadays but just thought Id ask here lol. What would be an ideal group for Pve and PVP with a group of 5 on the order side ??

Thanks for the tip.
you didn't mention if ORVR OR SC preference... if you are sc preference then getting pops as a 5 man can be hit and miss, ideally just find what archtype your missing from /5

if ORVR based I recommend more ranged setup so you can kite zerg, if sc then melee is generally better

1 kotbs, 1 bw, 1 sw, 1 rp 1 am if ranged orvr... and get a filler if you need care, could be ib/sm/engi/bw/sw/dps am even

for sc you want armour debuff in your setup and also punt game which makes it awkward so do you 2-1-2 and pick up pug dps, or 1-2-2 and pick up pug tank

then its ironbreaker vs white lion for armour debuff depending on answer to above pug
and WP vs AM

kotbs is core (off tank IB or SM)
slayer will hard carry (off dps White lion, WH or Slayer)
RP is also core

WP is easier and thats why people recommended it, AM is better but harder (you are squishier)

Thanks all, we went:

Kotbs, WL, BW, AM, RP. The RP might switch to SM though lol.

Thanks again.

I would argue they fill different niches too. WP is more of a sustain party/warband healer. They provide constant healing output via HoTs and can provide a good burst amount of healing for the entire WB. And are important for countering morale drops. AM's are more about their powerful group burst healing, which with a SM goes into overdrive to the point of near OP.

At least 1 tank is a must have. Healing become relevant when combine with core tank utility. Not to mention that tanks do control fight direction via cc
Mostly harmless
