On black guard you lose you kd which is the longest one in the game and all you get for it is a crappy 5s crit

On chosen if you go 2h you cant use destined for victory which is one of the best tactics in the game

What you lose going 2h outweighs the "benifits" you gain
You're trading it in for damage mainly and I think that's fair. Both are viable.

As for Chosen, I would never run that tactic.
You are doing such a great dis service you your self and to any 6 man you join if you don't run destined for victory
Your moral can fill up so fast that you can keep pumping out immaculate defense or sprout carapace

Also what dmg? Any one who thinks "dps tanks" are a thing are deluding them selves

The dmg you put out is a fraction compared to what real mdps can do

It can be viable build, if you manage to stack WS / Parry / Disrupt (you still want to use your Guard, don't you?) as well as to amass decent amount of Tgh / W and play as mobile backline harasser (spamm AP drain, interrupts and healing debuff).

As others have already pointed out the main drawback is that you lose one of the best knockbacks in the game and your SnB counterpart manage to do the same things as you do (with pressumably better self-protection).

It is not actually that BAD build for oRvR, but if you want to play some scenarios, there are simply better builds.

Where did I say the damage a 2H puts out is the same as a mdps? I'm wondering because you keep repeating that. As for destined for victory, that's your opinion, I don't share it. I ran my Chosen at the peak of War/Badlands with the guild Dogma and we were unstoppable in any Scenario and oRvR. This doesn't make me right/wrong. I'm just saying what I've been telling you before, that it is viable.
Is this a shitpost? Let me know through personal message.

To something is viable is subjective but that none the less dosnt make it true

People can claim that for example a shitty ability like choppas Get To Da choppa! is viable but that dosnt mean it is.

It might work against pugs or low skilled/under geared players but vs better skilled opponents or geared players its no where near as good

Gods if your going to guard use a shield at least then you get block + parry to negate dmg and not just parry

You absolutely must guard no matter what, it so central to the tank archetype and the single most impactful skill in the meta. If guard was taken out of the game it would shake the foundations of everything we subscribe to now.

Guard needs to get nerfed pls GOD

I wish it can be viable, because I like BG a lot. Sadly, 2H BG is nowhere near to group usefullnes compared to SnB one. For solo? Why not? If You stack lots of parry and disrubt, you can survive 1 v 1 WH,WL or BW :-D

Games too reliant on guard tbt to change it

Classes like slayer and choppa are basically built around guard

While I wouldn't at all mind any nerfs to slayer so that other Ordo mdps can shine guard nerfs would hit choppas and healers too hard

Or you can just use that spec (http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=bg; ... 3:;0:0:0:0:), play 2H and just go SnB when needed. Will still be Undetauntable, have AP cost increaser, Outgoing heal debuff, 5 sec KD (when using the shield), +10% crit debuff (when using the 2H), Superpunt, and do decent damage either SnB or 2H.

If you join a Sc and there are several tanks/healers in your group, or you are facing scrubs, you take out your 2H and have fun; if you dont have many tanks or face a decent premade you just put on a shield and Rugged or other defensive tactics. Having a defensive set of armor with armor/toughness talismans helps a lot.

Just because something isnt "meta" doesnt mean it must not be used/played. Every build has its time and place.
