O boi dis thread.
Only thing I miss in this thread is saying NB abuses Global cooldowns and allows you to use more skills at once.
Otherwise pretty much hilarious discussion about NB as it was during normal WAR.

I don't agree because I believe UI addons like Enemny simply change the look of something alright in the game. With Enemy you still have to watch the HP bar, click or keybind target the person and press the heal button.
so having a BIG arrow over an enemy which you can CLICK doesnt make targetting much easier with enemy?

Re: Nerfed buttons
People seem to think that NB plays the game for you.
Play with standard UI and then with a custom version and tell me how big the advantage is. Everyone can get a modified UI, right?
Everyone can get a multi button mmo gamer mouse as well.
Everyone can get NB.
The designers of NB made the mistake to add certain condition checks but it is like it is.
In the end NB is not more of an advantage as any well made UI mod.
And for god sake, stop saying that NB automates game play.

Dying is no option.
Re: Nerfed buttons
NB automates game play. IT is like IT is. You dont wanna told anyone that its not an automatism when NB Check conditions and change what spell Button 1 casts? Is the enemy slowed, healdebuff running on it, with buffs are running from other slayer in Group. Nb Check that "auto". If not in meele range okay, the same Button Spam ae the
) Dont See any automatism?

NB is like legal exploit and its Mythic's mistake they allowed it to exist.

Re: Nerfed buttons
Because it can. Setting up "conditional" macros so that IF something happens the mod will automatically have a reaction to it is the mod playing the game for you. For example, someone disrupts a spell and Echo of Power becomes usable. If an addon senses the disrupt and automatically casts the spell without you pressing a button for it - the mod IS playing the game for you.Sulorie wrote:People seem to think that NB plays the game for you.
Nice try. A custom UI doesn't automate any game play.Sulorie wrote:People seem to think that NB plays the game for you.

So does rebinding my abilities to keys such as Q, E, R and T count as cheating because it is easier for me to reach than the 0, - or = keys? How about those keypads such as the Logitech G13 or the Razer variations?
You are still physically PUSHING the buttons on the side of the mouse. There's a difference between something making it easier versus something that does it for you without you making an action.
Remember the "Assist the Main Assist" function in the Live game? Same thing - you're still click a button to do the action. Even binding a button to "Assist X" requires you to still make a keystroke.
Except it does automate gameplay. A well made UI mod makes information easier to obtain or better on the eyes. It doesn't automatically DO anything for you. NB has the potential to automate gameplay and react to certain conditions automatically without the player physically pushing a button or two to react to the condition.Sulorie wrote: In the end NB is not more of an advantage as any well made UI mod.

Re: Nerfed buttons
Just on the mod "Calling" - Mythic even added that function into the game with that stupid "Assist the Main Assist" function that suddenly made melee trains godly lol.Mez wrote:
It should be though, but Mythic failed us on that. And the mod Calling, that allowed 1 main assist to punch a key and his entire party would switch targets to his I considered another mod that broke the 4th wall and should have been banned. Literally if you run nerf buttons and calling, you could run around and 1 guy just controls the whole team's focus and you just sit there spamming 1 button. Mythic failed us big time on the UI. But it is what it is.

Re: Nerfed buttons
in some cases i can see it as a problme but in others its just a quality of life improvement like choppa slayer back attack

In every other MMO, there is assist function. Every. Even nontarget ones.Abolition wrote:Just on the mod "Calling" - Mythic even added that function into the game with that stupid "Assist the Main Assist" function that suddenly made melee trains godly lol.Mez wrote:
