Remove read only on the game folder. You can do this by right clicking Warhammer Online folder > properties > uncheck "Read only" > Apply. Then try logging in.

I did that after I posted here, nothing changed unfortunately.

Redownloading the game for the last 5 hours, so I will see what happens after it is done.

Hopefully that will fix my issues.

OK re downloaded the game, now I'm receiving a different error.
This is with the Game folder added to the exceptions list with AVG and with AVG turned off.

Rather annoying trying to figure this out.

Remove read only on the game folder.
Azarael wrote: Access was denied to the path or file WAR.exe!

Remove the write-protection (right click the game folder -> properties -> disable read-only) from all the files in the WAR folder and try again. You may also try running the launcher with Administrator privileges.

If you used the torrent to download the game, the torrent application may still be using the files. Either copy the entire WAR folder to a new location (if you wish to continue supporting the torrent), or move the entire WAR folder to another location to break access to the torrent.

How do you use this program exactly? i run it and it closes after about 10 seconds.

I'm also getting the "Authentication denied, program will terminate" issue and no matter how many times i uncheck read only it just turns back on the moment i close the box.

Also tried replacing the data file and same issue.

I'm using Win7 if it means anything

Do you have any programs running, for example, Asus assist tools? These programs have been known to cause authentication issues. If you don't have this, then try scanning for virus', malware and use Ccleaner to fix any registry issues.

Greetings,

I am interested in downloading the game to give it a shot as it appears WildStar is breathing it's last few breaths. However, I am getting a 404 error from the seeded download option. Image
Can I get some advice on what to do?
