Re: Hotfixe since 16.06.2015
That's up to the database team. As far as I'm aware there are more Destruction players on it.

Fantastic.Azarael wrote:Seems to be an issue with excessive memory consumption. I've reduced the memory consumed by the map area detection code and fixed a leak within the RegionManager's update function.
Also in the next patch:
- Bug fixes (check the bugtracker's closed section)
- Fixed area detection for chapters and warcamps (should fix influence)
- Mobs will no longer drop blue and purple gear
- Increased the rewards for participating in large-scale RvR (outside of SCs)
- Reikland Factory Landing flag has been removed, guards added around that area and spawns pushed forward slightly

Well in principle, I am generally for this ideamickeye wrote:+1Azarael wrote:Purple and blue gear will only drop in RvR, hence why the RvR reward code has been changed to encourage more battles in the lakes instead of farming.
You can still farm for the green gear you need if you want to, but I don't like the idea of players being sat forever farming away to get the best gear, instead of fighting for it.
In practise, unless the drop rate is significantly increased vs that of mobs, I doubt we will see much if any Woe or Rune gear drop
People farmed probably tens of thousands of mobs per day and got a trickle of Woe and perhaps one Rune per day, whereas it would take weeks of constant high population ORvR to farm the same number of players, only to have the whole warband roll for the purple Magus Willpower/Weapon Skill staff that dropped
Whilst I applaud big incentives to RvR, I would tend toward having blues and purples drop in PvE as before, and implement a higher blue/purple drop rate in RvR
This way, when in off peak times (like Oceanic/Pacific) and not much RvR/scens players can choose to farm mobs and/whilst they exp alts. However when the action picks up, they can join RvR and roll on more frequent blue and purple drops with the warband
This would also mitigate the net wealth of blue/purple farmers who amassed their hoards before this change came in vs all the people with new toons or new to the game (this is assuming Blue/Purple drop rate in RvR is the same as it was in PvE)

Which server? If you mean the previous dev server, I can't help you there. :/ Sigmar and Luth are both able to connect to mine. I just don't want to modify tables that might be in use by the DB team, after what happened last time.Dana wrote:Good joke.

These are also my main gripes - a warband full of 20 people and some chosen rolling on that magus purple, the people who got it before the change, and the fact that if I want a "Murderer's" item, I have to farm 16-17 level order players.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one man. People would just go back to grinding mobs. Which is really sad considering those items aren't even that good (a good player with Conquest gear will stomp a bad player with Woe gear).Xaun wrote:Well in principle, I am generally for this ideamickeye wrote:+1Azarael wrote:Purple and blue gear will only drop in RvR, hence why the RvR reward code has been changed to encourage more battles in the lakes instead of farming.

If people are really worried about a gear-gap between those who hoarded these items and the rest of us, then maybe we should have another item wipe? (i'm not asking it for myself; i don't care about gear "gaps" atm). And to be honest with you, i wouldn't feel bad for people who grinded (in your own words) tens of thousands of mobs per day in an Alpha of a (supposedly) RvR game.
