We must consider that before adjustments are made, i guess. If currently we only lock a zone after 4 hours then maybe something could be done (gradually increase BO lockout timer the more times it is taken, so after a while they will be locked for 15 minutes as before?)

I have nothing against locking the zone once per day. What is important is what happens when the zone isn't locking.
The problem atm( What I think) is that it just isn`t rewarding to skirmish, to fight. It is fun, but you get a lot more out of capturing empty BO's.

A live feed of what's happening now at Dorf.

Order is on the attacking side.
We start on keep, but lost a BO on MoM.
We go there, we cap both, but back at BV, we lost both.
What now? every BO is on a 10 min timer, and we can't hit keep.
We wait a bit, let's cap after the timer, we start it, and then we lose BOs at MoM.
It's kinda hard to go forward, nobody wants to defend, it's way better (reward wise) to grab empty BO's. A BO cap gives you 12k xp (thats fine, really).
But a good fight, even wiping out a WB, will give you waaay less.

I'd suggest increasing rewards for kills to see if people start looking for a fight instead of empty BO's only.
That way you get your reward, and it's way more fun.

Don't you get increased XP/rewards for kills at a BO? People should head to a BO the moment they see it burning. Maybe they won't take it back, but killing enemies there will be a good reward.

Maybe BOs could work like:

you do 125% damage to door with 4BOs
100% with 3
35% with 2
0% with none BOs on your side.

I just tried moving people to tomb as it was burning. Guess...

But that is not bad design. That's just lazy people wanting to get easy rewards for doing nothing.

This is a good system. It's real RvR. To win, at this point lock a zone is win, your realm must work together, communicate, and coordinate. That is the basis of good RvR. Idk what the opinions of GW2 are here but I played for over a year in a WvWvW guild and the whole server coordinated our attacks in the three maps all of which make our zones look tiny to draw enemies away from key points, seize points we want, defend supply lines. That is what good RvR is. Everyone working together to achieve a realm wide goal. If players what lazy rewards for doing nothing they can go que for lfr imo

Destro is just snowballing right now. They went to empire and locked it in 15mins. Will be faster next map, everyone quit =(

Dorf locked in about 10 mins. Geez...
Sad part is there isn't much to do.

Kinda hard to do anything against a wb and a half when you have like 5-10 guys.
