Try replacing your launcher with this unpacked copy.

i can not get this to work at all, i downloaded the torrent made a new folder on my desktop put it all in there than downloaded the launcher, put that into the same folder and i get an error message

wont let me copy it, says system unauthorized access exception and a bunch of other stuff, did i save it all to the wrong folder or wrong destination, i made a new folded on my desktop and sent it all there. says war.exe is denied

to be honest wish i didnt mess around before i started **** with **** the only error message i got was the one you just posted about the luancher fix, now i created alot more problems... *sigh*

i have just completely removed all files off my computer, suppose start again from the jump...

You just needed to remove read only on the game folder.

Remove the write-protection (right click the game folder -> properties -> disable read-only) from all the files in the WAR folder and try again. You may also try running the launcher with Administrator privileges.

If you used the torrent to download the game, the torrent application may still be using the files. Either copy the entire WAR folder to a new location (if you wish to continue supporting the torrent), or move the entire WAR folder to another location to break access to the torrent.
