the BO shield that looks like a sword from "the Wyrmbraker" quest chain was a fun item. it is NO bugged item. it was originally in the game. like many other things, that they called bugged!

Let's assume those items weren't bugged and Mythic really added them as "fun" items.
The difference here is that opposite to the live servers the enemy realm can see you alternative appearance on RoR which can be confusing in PvP, especially in cases of a shield BG running around with two swords and similar stuff.
