10/12 classes get boned because of a slightly over rated tactic
What if we just removed run away and make it so that gobbos lose morale when every a HE is is nearby :^)

Re: [Bright Wizard] Combustion / Career Mechanic
You know it isn't going to happen? I sure as hell don't know that. It most certainly could happen. If the community supports it and gives hard evidence as to why it should be removed. If you are such a proponent of its removal, get your facts together assemble them into a post and put it on the balance forum when it opens. If you can't be bothered to do that then stop complaining about it.Ridduk wrote:Ok....but its not going to happen.Tklees wrote:

Ok, right. An unguarded mdps is a nr. 1 victim for range-dps, especially in group-rvr.Tklees wrote:In a group setup currently 2-2-2 is the meta you are correct. However the risk I am speaking about in my post is risk of damage, focus, etc. A properly positioned rdps is much safer from the enemies that create its greatest risk, the melee train, than the melee whose greatest risk is either in the melee pit with them, the melee train, or can target them, the rdps. Again I used the words properly positioned. An Rdps who gets caught with thier pants down too close to the melee train should expect only one result and its self evident. It's called prekiting and situational awareness.Arbich wrote:Please take the time to explain this. I am also very interested in your opinion.Tklees wrote: 2. We disagree on the risk of playing rdps vs the risk of playing mdps it seems and I would love to take the time to convince you otherwise but I don't currently have it. So we can disagree there.
I experience that most groups (if they are obedient to success) run in 2mdps,2heal,2tank.
Why did they do this, if there are other group-options with better risk-reward-ratio?
About the RKD. I doubt it will be removed, because it concerns the mayor balance issue - the melee-train.
If I could decide, I would let the classes unchanged until t4 and then implement only slightly skill-changes (lower AoE, lower group-heal).
But if changes happen earlier, then it should be obvious all about the melee-train (at least if you want to balance the game around group-play). One way could be increasing (not removing) crowd control for rdps.

Hehe...im not a proponent of removing rkds. The amount of tears that would ensue from that would cause Noah's Flood 2.0. However i probably would be in favor of giving sorcs a rkd but not SH's(b/c, you know, run away and that ****)Tklees wrote:You know it isn't going to happen? I sure as hell don't know that. As far as your comment in regards to "complaining"...wasnt doing that, i simply pointed out the flaws in your statements as it pertains to Sorcs

The real question is not if sorcs need rkd its if BW needs one
BW rkd is from a bygone age when they had no boiling blood
do they still need one now

Ever had to deal with Terrible Embrace in T4 as a BW? If so, then you probably know the answer to that question.
Re: [Bright Wizard] Combustion / Career Mechanic
That bygone age BW's had some pretty nifty toys they don't have now :^) would gladly roll my BW back to the good old patches before BB.TenTonHammer wrote:The real question is not if sorcs need rkd its if BW needs one
