I don't know how stealth originally worked on Mythic, though I theorize that it didn't use our implementation. We remove the enemy player from the client when they stealth and readd them when they reappear. This implementation causes some issues, and it's beyond my power to fix.
I had one complaint from a player in sc that he did not saw me when I've opened on him from stealth, but that was group fight in scenario when we were winning/puting melee train on them. Anyway we talked during scenario and tested by me opening more on this specific player - and then he saw me from first second I've opened on him from stealth.

I was playing my WE a lot since patch, and I was getting attacked in 1st second since I've got out of stealth.
I was dueling and I was getting attacked immedietaly since I've opened on my opponent from stealth and none of my duel opponents complained about not seeing me.
So IF it does happen (I am not convinced it does) then it happens very rarely.
I do have some report about stealth to make though. Since 21/05 patch Stealth seem to be much more "vunerable" - I get detected when in stealth much more often. Sometimes I get impression that I get "thrown out of stealth" even without enemy players in close proximity (will test it further).
I don't know if this is intended, I am just reporting that it definately changeda and stealth is much more detectable.
I don't have any evidence but all I can say is I saw this happening multiple times (to myself and others) when I did about 5 or 6 SCs in a row yesterday. The red lines appear around you from the opener but ya can't see em. Seen and experienced the same with WHs.
Doesn't always happen but it definitely wasn't very rare from what I saw unfortunately
@Azarael Does that mean it can never be fixed, or just that a fix will have to be done in another part of the system (outside the ability re-work) in future? Only asking cos being able to drop you to half hp or less before becoming visible is game-breaking imo, even if it only happens sporadically, and it'll only get worse later on as WE/WHs get stronger
Ideally we need to figure out exactly what Mythic did to implement stealth. I don't think they did what we're doing - I think it's more likely that the client itself does the spot check.
though the action bar is locked, every time I join any scenario the abilities assigned to button nr. 1 and 2 are mixed up.
Example, when playing an engi after entering the scenario map, the nr. 1 button is for some reason assigned with the melee attack, irrespective of what was assigned there below. The ability from button 1 is moved to button 2. Ability from button 2 is vanished.
Similar problem with the tactics bar - for some reason, upon login in the game it swtiches to an empty one.

Noticed this aswell with wh's attacking me while stealthed. If its any help Aza this never happened before the latest patch.
I will say this, WE's feinted positioning is bugged. The ability lasts for 15 seconds when it's suppose to last only 10 seconds. I tested it on an npc as well to see if it last the whole duration and it does. Explains why there are a lot of WE's running around i guess.

I imagine it just sent a stealth packet to clients in range then stopped sending player packets. Then on ability use send a position packet immediately after. Which is why you always got attacked by something when attacked from stealth. The player hadnt loaded back to the client entity list yet.
Aza any modificers apply with initiative atm? that should be taken in account to de-hide/see enemy

Also have noticed that skill that KB player atm do not KD monster and they should.
