"Siege weapons and rams are now consumable items, and now stack in your inventory. Because of their new consumable status (which should help a little with troll or fake rams), we are also reducing the gold cost of some siege weapons:"

I don't agree with making them consumables. Sucks when people troll the rams, but I don't see this as a positive solution for a minor problem. Especially if this will only "help a little". Makes it difficult for new players whom don't have gold to drop on an attempt that gets wiped. Even if it succeeds the gold sink doesn't justify the yield of exp/rp. Relies on older accounts to fund sieges, sure, they may be able to fund it without issue. It's a bad choice that doesn't support fun. It becomes another hurdle, if not barrier to entry, for gameplay than any boon to game design. Crack down on those who do troll things with rams, not impede regular players.

If you are a new player, that can not even effort a ram, then you are obviously not meant to spawn one anyway. Rams are spawned by or on demand of Warband leaders.
If you are some solo newbe, spawning a ram should be the last thing to do on your bucket list. Ram cost is still to low anyway, since there are still troll rams every day.
The only debatable here is the consumption on single target cannons. Other then the AOE Cannons, that often get used for killfarm, the single target cannons are a must have for successful oil counter. So the single target cannons should be 1 time purchase again.

Being low level doesn't mean you aren't meant to, it means you don't have the barrier to entry yet. Not impossible, as even at level 16 I had 5g to spawn one. It's just not something that can be done enough times. Anyone who spawns a ram solo, with genuine intention, would learn there mistake. This isn't the hypothetical I'm addressing. If there's still troll rams everyday, then this solution hasn't resolved that issue either and just creates a difficulty for the new player. Warband of low levels, because premades/40+ won't have them in theirs, shouldn't be restricted from engaging in the content too. It's a barrier to entry, non-conducive, restrictive design.

There's absolutely no reason why they shouldn't be consumable just like potions and linis. If the ram gets destroyed after the inner door opens, then why should it reappear in your inventory?

I've provided you reasons why it shouldn't be consumable. To elaborate on your objection. It's a primary mechanic to the game, not an optional one. It's integral to the games purpose. You either level up your keep to flip the zone or you take the enemies keep. You can't take a keeps without a ram. Potions are optional. You can level your keep without ever consuming a potion. You can take a keep without ever consuming a potion. You can progress through the maps without ever consuming a potion. This design choice doesn't do anything other than make an artificial barrier to the progression of the game.

They weren't always perm.

Honestly, make them 1 time use and make them 50g each, screw the whinners

Now that's just being a troll, if not petty, and that's factually wrong. They were always permanent hence why there's been a change.

I was actually being serious. If trolling rams is such a problem raise it to 50. Gold isn't a problem for most players
