Windows 10, Critical Error - Authentication Failed

hi, I got the same problem with a new computer running Windows 10. you found a solution?

So I've recently got a new computer (old one is Windows 7, new one is Windows 10). I transferred over my Warhammer folder, open the launcher, log in with my information .. the next thing I know I am in the server loading screen. Nothing shows up in the black log box area to the right that usually says attempting to connect, connection failed, login failed etc., that's completely blank. I've tried rebuilding the performance counters. I've tried making the launcher and war.exe etc. run as administrator all of the time. Neither worked. I am positive my Warhammer folder is not set to read only.

I had this authentication problem 3 times or more on the official server, two or three times on RoR. Only fix I've found is to wait for it to go away... Might get fixed when they restart or move the server..

Just curious if anyone is running this on Windows 10 successfully. I just got a new computer with Windows 10 and was planning on trying to transfer war this weekend but if there are comparability issues I may just wait til I get a new monitor and leave war on my old computer

I've been running I on windows 10 for a while. Haven't played much lately but seem to be working.

Awesome. I'm not great at doing all the trouble shooting so I didn't want to go through all the effort just to find out I can't get it to run on my new computer. Hopefully ill be in game this weekend then!

Have a skim over this thread and see if any of these suggestions works for you.


Also, try virus/malware/spyware scans, and Ccleaner for registry.

thank for you answer elven. I read the thread then I try virus/malware/spyware scans, and Ccleaner for registry all is clean the pc is new. I try also to download the original file and same message error in the black box = login time out then second later "authentification failed" application will no terrminate" i disable also firewall and nothing at all... I try also vpn and cyberghost indicate in the old thread still same message error... another suggestion?
