And the reason why is that last week Beavers and Kings did some ORvR, barely encountering any serious non-pug opposition, every evening non-stop from Monday up until the late Friday night, where destros finally decided to show up and even wiped us two-three times in the last ~30 of prime time.
That left poor old dessies full of themselves and they proceeded to demand order to show up throughout the whole weekend, even though there were barely any online from our side. Some even tried to join the guild as lvl 1 order alts and troll in lines of "haha ye chicken orderfags".
Yet this clearly showed that dessies somehow preferred not to RvR up until they've had the superior numbers :^)
Lol wut?

Unless beavers and kings, logged on their Destro characters at first and then a a given signal deceided to switch side the above would hold merit and also be the problem discussed here as quite large numbers in destro T3 switch sides.

And people trolling the other side is not something that we in destro are solely responsible of, even though you might like to think that.

I myself has these past couple of days played in T2 levelling up my Magus, the problem with x-realming is hardly noticeable in T2, strangely enough.

Just putting this out there...

I crossrealm for the following reasons;

* I played both sides on Live, and enjoy classes on both sides.
* I prefer being with the smaller side and have no qualms with switching to have that.

Order out in full force? Excellent, I love playing my DoK.
Destro rampaging everywhere? Awesome, when I commit to an Order class, I'll hop over there for the AOO.

Sometimes it's fun being in the zerg, having all the things. The pendulum touches each side daily, so it's not like, "OMG, my poor Destro!", nah, just wait till favorable time zones.

People have mentioned realm pride... I'm not sure that type of thing exists anymore. I watched it die in WoW, honestly. WAR was after, and people would care about D or O a little, but it wasn't nearly the same as DAoC (balanced by having 3 realms, btw), or even the trickle over of Alliance v Horde. I haven't seen much realm pride in games since... MMOs have changed, people have changed, mostly they stopped caring.

With a proper 3 realm game (2 is doomed to fail, tbh, look at all the other 2 faction PvP games), you might see realm pride again... but that would require a few other caveats to facilitate such pride having any meaning whatsoever.

So no! xrealming, in the context of this private server MMO, is not that bad! Otherwise, I'd just logoff, and the server as a whole would be -1. I'm not saying that's a major loss. I'm saying the server's population needs people like me.

solution to this 'waa my zerg is smaller than theirs!111eleventyone'
>make a 6-man party group/guild
> get tight with them, and do scenarios/try and organise some 6v6s

muuuuch more fun than the monotony that is ORVDOOR/ORVimbalancednumbers

Making more 6-mans shouldn't be the answer, in a game that's mainly focused about battles on a massive scale.

One solution, although probably not the best one, could be AAO would increase stats, and not just rewards. Something like 100% AAO = 50% increase HP or whatever. Just a thought.

This can't be "fixed" yet. Besides, even though sometimes I feel the urge to x-realm, I control myself and keep playing on order.

Though I have to say my urge to play destro comes not from love, but it's mainly my desire to kill the noobs that made me lose the scenario/keep etc. ;)

Yea, if running a guarded SW with 4 runepriests is fun ;)

eh, the problem is the playerbase is way too small. there's 4-500 people on at any moment, and the bulk of them are idle, out farming PvE for materials or quest rewards, or scattered across the different tiers so RvR is going to be stupidly volitile.

crossrealming is simply a symptom of this and there's really nothing they can do about it.

dunno what you're getting at but okay. much more fun that being beaver member 342343 in a warband, i'd wager!

And no, I believe promoting small-scale PVP -should- be done. This whole 'game revolves around orvr' doesn't cut it when that orvr pvp is generally piss-poor and - 9 times out of 10 - won by the team with the more numbers.
The game should reassess 'what makes good PvP?', focus more on actual quality over quantity, and promote people to try and use different class configs/formations in small, tight packs. I think Luth mentioned giving a speed debuff to the zergers, which I am in favour of!

Then "Judas" is definitively an appropriate name.
Has the server implemented the 30 silver reward for switching to the strongest faction? ;-)
