It didn't work like that on the mythic server, for obvious reasons.
Defense stacking meta + guard + detaunt = no one dies anymore.
Detaunt is authorative over guard though, so if you want to save your tanks HP, you should use it even when guarded.

World wide is probably best there's literally no hiding it if your farming a toon this way.

Tbh its not good at all, becouse it clouds killspam viev and makes it harder to read in cases of locating killsources/hotspot locations. If this was implemented due to exp/renown farming than should be moved into different channel, so ppl that are going to use killspam as tracker could not be distracted. And if this change was implemented to shame ppl that die in different ways than getting killed by opposite faction player, than it should be definitely zone wide.
