After patching, this problem word in word... started for me also in moment when I deleted one of my old characters because I wanted use his name on new character. Also couldn't finish creation. Now I have.... Locating battles...Searches for allies....black screen.

Exactly same problem.
Created yesterday new character after deleting freshly created one. Today after patch can't login. Login complete, Login complete -> after 10 sec. black screen with start buttons (Settings / Cinematic). At black screen it hangs out on: Locating battles, Searching allies.

same problem, delete a char to reuse name yesterday (not on the same class), then got the problem, as the others i get stuck on "searching for allies" phase.
