With imbalanced gear i meant the cloaks (debuff removing) and as i wrote, automatic debuffing + potting is a little to easy with the addon to count as playerskill.
For me the "skill" a player is showing, has more to do with gameplay elements that can't be automated; i.e. the players performance in group vs group fights.

I miss Krallo the WH tbh. Don't give me the 'Well dat guy kinda farted around on his own a lot not really killing anything'. I guess we all have a different perspective on what our own idea of 'best' players are. Skill is only a small part of the total package imo.

[quote="Cmitts"]on norn

slayer - Gorikor (best slayer hands down, had every pot and cape and had a wicked pot rotation that iv never seen on any player. Hardest hitting slayer and harder to kill then a tank. He had to have over 20 pots iv never seen anyone pot as much or effectively.

what about ory and gotrek? :P

Again these were 2 of the first slayers to hit 100 and had premades set up just to support them as the dps.

When you add gear imbalance, the most op class, 5 other players at high level and with similar gear playing just to support their dps. Thats why the big name guild leading slayers were the most dangerous dps around.

If were talking about effective groups with deadly setups. roflstomp, belgara and especially bearmace spring to mind.

Playerskill though Cruman, Laroiaa and Eanerion for instance.

Time spent to get perfect group setups and using addons like nb could make good players look great. I lost 100k off my damage in scs if I was on a comp without nb. Not having to worry about overcasting dots or casting ap drain if it was below a certain level so no need to ever manage ap.

Newer players without the gear, premades, op class or addons didnt matter how good they were just fodder. Thats why the game slowly died it was a nightmare for a new player. Also why a lot of premades stuck it out till the bitter end. Power fantasy.

It was such a huge advantage and so many used it. Some classes more than others like bw/sorc or classes with positionals. That you really gimped yourself not using it.

I totally agree it was wrong and love to be playing swtor where there are no addons. Its the only thing that would make me think twice about going back to a 100% working war. Back to automation.
