Currently you need to re-join the server if you're disconnected. You get to see message history if you're verified, and there's a Twitch bot channel that announces streams. Pretty much anything outside of basic access will require being verified if we add things in the future.

If you meant the reasoning why we would require this? We all mostly know each other from the forums, so mostly for keeping consistent names across platforms. Also, when have we ever just made something simple and easy?

Would the fact I am using the WebApp cause any issue? I'll try the desktop client when I get home either way.
