They aren't worthless. People who come back from afk, join the warband for the first time, etc can meet up with your group on a BO without getting ganked on the way.

And that's exactly what I wrote in my post. I said they are "pretty much" worthless, not entirely.

Hotfix Notes

- None Shall Pass added to Guard Exclusion
- GM commands to remove your salty surnames and prevent you from creating new ones.
- Fixed some lag. Probably.
At least, we're pretty sure each time someone loads into a zone it shouldn't make the server pause for 1000ms. Little things~~

A step back into the right direction. While I understand where, what and why these portals to BO's were added, I still do not believe this portals add anything of value towards open realm vs. realm besides leeching and/or fast-traveling. I agree that the fast travel is handy at times for multiple reasons, but it completely removes some of the natural flow of forces in the RVR-lakes. Just to clarify my main concern is still the portals and how very little they have to add in terms of risk/reward.

Besides that, I look forward to test the next stages of Yali's experiment. So far, so good. :D
picking solo walkers from wc to BO was the easiest ganking method.
pretty sure BO portal wasn't implemented to prevent it. it's for fast actions, imo.
as a side effect, easiest solo ganking became harder.

you can still farm at BO. literally it's a farm of cattle. for wolves. a lot of afkers there.
it's little bit harder than b4 cuz there are small chances real guards are posting.

least resistance. it works to everybody.

If there's a serious brainstorm to be had then it should be about fixing this problem, born from the recent rvr changes.

But what do you expect from a population that demands a pug scenario? A population who find offense at the mere suggestion of forming a group/wb? A population who find offense when given constructive criticism and/or help in playing their class? A population who don't even try to optimise their playstyle or improve upon their mistakes, instead crying 'destro/order bias!'. I could go on ad nauseam.

You actually expect said people to get off their ass to fight?

(Not all but a huge proportion)
