As a reminder to all the freshly minted T4 nubs out there, it's not the gear nor the abilities that's vaporizing you in 1.7 GCDs in SC play. What's causing you to become a Respawn Ranger is coordinated and focused group play. It just so happens that a majority of the players who can pull off coordinated focused dps and effective defensive moves/positioning are higher renown rank and have "better" gear than a new 32+ player because they have spent time and effort to get the kills/wins/renown.
The very best news for you is that you too can get to that level of gear - even solo queing and getting wtfbbqpwnd back to the respawn. It will just take you longer. It will take you longer if you do not find or create a coordinated and focused group with which to play.
This state of being "underpowered" as compared to the players you face is transitional IF and only IF you find a group to work with. Without a coordinated and focused group you will always be fodder. Even if you find a solid group without a typical META (see also Zaxxed 6-mans) you will be better off in the long run.
Hope this helps.

Re: Philosophical Power Discrepancy
Why should a character in greens be a match for a character in BiS? Should I be able to contribute to an SC naked?
This is a game so granted it's about having fun. Personally I find gearing my characters quite fun. I've never played an RPG where level and gearing didn't matter, well Sept dark souls. If you don't enjoy building your character ie: guild, friends, equipment, renown, playstyle, ect. Maybe this isn't the right kind of game for you.
I can only think of one mmo I've played where a player could be 400% stronger then someone else, of equal level, and that was pre combat upgrade star wars Galaxies. Personally I found it fun killing Jedi, the alpha class, nothing like a good challenge.
Bolster is a blessing. I remember in wow, the first few months of release, hords of 20s trying to take down 60s. Epic fun. I was a 20.
My long winded point is. The best things in life are free. They require time, effort, research, dedication, and sacrifice. It wouldn't be fun if they didn't.
