I have no idea why you feel the point of dps is to be 1v1 kings. I can understand "dps-healers should never have the burst a pure dps has" , or "dps-healers should never have the healing capacity of a pure healer," but combining survivability with damage should be the IDEAL non-stealth 1v1er, rDPS should generally require a frontline and lack the burst of mdps but bring the most pressure, and non-stealth mDPS should generally require heals but have the most "well-rounded" killing ability. Stealth dpsers should generally have the highest burst and should be the best at removing rdps & lightly armored targets, but should have a reduced efficacy against heavier armor and survivability. Honestly, I think a dps-healer's group function should primarily be utility buffs with a reduced capacity for both (They should fulfill the role of bard if anything, the original dps-healer. War kinda gave that role to one of the tank classes, so it is a little identity-crisisy).Diggot wrote: Mon Mar 11, 2019 3:27 pm100% agree. Dps-healers should NEVER stand a chance agasinst a true dps 1v1, doesn't matter iftazdingo wrote: Thu Mar 07, 2019 7:46 am a melee class that can be tanky enough to stand in the frontline, heal itself and it's group AND deal enough damage to put out useful pressure simply cannot be allowed to exist. of course the class is bollocks - common sense should illuminate this
roll an actual dps and stop pissing around, solo dps healers are the cancer of this game
either class is "group oriented" or not. If you let dps-healers start killing people 1v1, you remove
the point of rolling a dps.
The ONLY points of being a dps-healer is to being able to handle PVE on your own.. NOT PVP.
What is cancer to this game, in all honesty, is the fact you'd rather flame dps-healers for not playing the game how you see fit than roll a healer yourself. Obviously, a play style appealed to them, so they picked it.... they're doing what they enjoy doing while playing this game, and at higher rrs, the skill-ceiling is real and a 3/2/1 is a perfectly viable comp. What stopped you from rolling a healer at character creation?
