I would suggest playing a lot of T1/T3 scenarios and then stick to RvR until you grasp this correctly.

Correct. I've seen a few posts from what seem to be professional gaslighters, attempting to convince people that gear and RR isn't what determines the outcome of a fight 99% of the time.Dwarni wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 4:31 pmHe is mainly a liability since gear and RR points make such an extreme difference.Farrul wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 5:24 am 3) As new player you're likely a liability yourself to your team and contribute to the loss, since you haven't learned your class yet nor how to handle yourself in combat or support team mates. Almost as bad are the ones that try to convince you that the "pros" use their "advanced" game knowledge to win, when, in fact, the "pros" all resort to the same 0 IQ "strategy" time and time again: make a bigger blob, hold forward, and spam a few spells until the other blob disappears or scatters.

Re: I dont wanna be rude but... what?!
Also, OP, my record for SC losses in a row was 22. Going 0-22 felt incredible. Truly a magnificent experience that will be cherished for eternity. Nothing makes you wanna keep playing quite like going against BiS pre-made farmers plowing through Conq-wearing peasants.
The game could be fixed very easily by way of dynamic (even static) number adjustments, but the devs/designers/GMs all have the same mindset.
That is, they want to cater to the geriatrics that can barely press five skills in rapid succession, but that have been playing the game for an eternity, and to do so, they have to keep them at an advantage by making it EXTREMELY difficult to grind through people that you know are terrible, but that you can't beat because of gear/stats.
The "veterans" then proclaim the following:
1) git gud
2) grind like we had to
Basically, new players don't stick around, and the population remains at a 300/day (NA time) level ad infinitum (when it SHOULD be 5K+, seeing how GREAT the base game, Warhammer Online, is).
As a thought experiment, imagine what would happen if there was a PVP game mode similar to Guild Wars (the original), where everyone was on an equal playing field.
The "vets" would lose their minds, as there would be fresh/young players demolishing them and leaving them in the dust. But this would shatter their delusional power fantasy, and once their fragile egos would break, they would be at risk of uninstalling.

Re: I dont wanna be rude but... what?!
This is unlikely with the new matchmaking system, as premade groups are matched against premades and if there aren't any available they will have to wait a little bit. That little bit of wait means you won't be facing that premade every match.Spazual wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2026 10:57 pm You're probably getting stomped out by premade scenario groups. Either try to join one in looking for group or create one and start doing the stomping![]()
It's more likely that the opposing players just happen to be significantly stronger. Since the pool of players is small, you face these players over and over again simply because there are not many other players to take their spot. Similarly, you will play with the same, weaker, players on your side.
The best thing you can do is take a break from scenarios. Or just accept that you are in a losing situation and keep trying, as you'll still get decent renown. A loss gives about 40% of the renown of a win.

It only matters in T4, assuming that you get the appropriate PvE gear for your level (keepers, mayhem, ruin).Dwarni wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 4:31 pmHe is mainly a liability since gear and RR points make such an extreme difference.Farrul wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 5:24 am 3) As new player you're likely a liability yourself to your team and contribute to the loss, since you haven't learned your class yet nor how to handle yourself in combat or support team mates. I'll also point out that it's terrible reasoning to assume the problem is the player. I could strut into a T4 scenario completely naked, be watching a World Cup game, barely paying attention, and still have little to no impact on whether my team wins or loses. Individual performance will only determine a win or loss if the match is close to begin with.

I mean we are talking about T4 right? Of course a single player has little impact in SCs, the more players there are the less impact a single one has. But still gear difference is so immense that you make an over average impact if you join as a fresh 40 (negative) or as a RR 80 player (positive).gisborne wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 6:08 pm It only matters in T4, assuming that you get the appropriate PvE gear for your level (keepers, mayhem, ruin).

T1 is as bad as T4 is as bad as T1. Nothing has changed. They said they made the MMing system better, but I haven't seen a damned bit of difference. The games are infuriating as they ever were. The only difference now is that I have games where I start off with a bunch of people missing, and others join as we're already on our way to a resounding loss. I really don't understand why it's so hard for a bunch of grown men to fix something that shouldn't require decades of profound thought.Dwarni wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 6:18 pmI mean we are talking about T4 right? 0-22? Not there yet. But 4-13 is getting close...

T1 is a lot better than T4. A level 1 char has a better chance of winning against a level 15 char than a fresh Rank 40 char winning against a RR 80 char.UriShekelstein wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2026 6:28 pm T1 is as bad as T4 is as bad as T1.
