But you also get extra drops from scenario kills. If you go in a warband you will roll against 1/24. I agree 2 medallions is too low for area locks and that's why 5 is over the top from kill quest unless they change the area lock rewards as well (or lower the kill quest one). I have no problem with people gearing up faster, but if it means empty rvr lakes that is not what I'd like to see.
I agree that empty RvR lakes would be a sad thing to see, but not everyone is made for premades and will still resort to zerging in the lakes for the sake of kills and keep takes. Especially a lot of new players. Medallion rates in SCs are still shared between 12 people; not only your own premade group. Basically with this killcount quest, everyone will eventually benefit from the kills they made and have more of a guarantee to get their currency. 5 medals over 2 will quicken this process immensely and even negate the feeling of a 'grind', keeping players motivated to go out there and kill. Empty keeps are still being zerged even if the reward is minimal. Also, think of the extra effort put into keep defenses with a 150 killquest for 5 medals; it's basically a win-win both ways.

very nice, did also the hp regen work? i heard around that other than have not the correct ammount it also not worked?

sad about the kill quest it was asked from some ppl to avoid to move the action into sc :(

This is the only positive thing I see with this change as well. Defending in a warband will be beneficial as it should be. Even better defensive ticks should give 1 medallion each on top of it as well but this is a start.

I for one hand solo que with my alt sorc very often and it took 2 days to gather 65 medallions in scenarios only (devastator gloves+shoulders). With the huge damage you get sometimes even 50 kills/scenario and medallions fly in from every direction. Even if you lose you get usually lots of kills, but of course this is not as easy for every class.

5 might be high, 2 or 3 sounds better. The devastator set is kind of the current end game now. So if you can obtain it in a few days, many players will be "done" and wait for T4 or whatever big update comes next.

A problem with the rvr lakes is that there seems to be a "let's-not-even-try-to-defend-because-then-they-won't-get-medallions" mentality. Maybe add a chance of getting a medallion in empty castles as well, something like 30%, scaling up.

I agree. Or give 1 medallion reward for defensive keep tick. Would encourage open rvr action.

Slippery slope when you start rewarding empty keep takes. I admit I would rather leave the keep than get zergrolled to benefit the opponent. Just my personal feeling about it.
