I agree. It's our defining signature attack, yet literally everything else we have outclasses it. Beyond the buff, I don't use it. Better to save the AP for Radiance, which hits harder and heals to boot.sweetest wrote:One way I could think to help our damage out maybe is to make Sigmar's Fist use the same damage model as Sigmar's Vision, Sigmars fist is our main attack that is used the most to make sure our target is debuffed, we are buffed and our friends are buffed, so why is it our weakest strike in the grace tree?

I like the idea behind ae detaunt sort of, but it still doesn't cover the fact that you either detaunt the range dps or the melee train
Good luck figuring out who's going to blow you up faster on that one
All the reasons you listed are valid, but it wasn't laziness that got the book regen added, it was the sheer amount of damage being poured out around that time with aoe being much much stronger then it is now.
Healing was decreased to match to some degree
Ultimately you are never going to heal for enough being perma Cced in the melee train with only guarded targets to beat on.

A problem amplified when you run into fights with several ranged DPS. Even if you select the right one, what's to stop them from just switching out with someone else?Landaren wrote:Good luck figuring out who's going to blow you up faster on that one
Sweet has a point with our role in party composition. We need enough damage to make it worth swapping out a proper DPS for us. Our advantage lies in that, unsupported, we're unstoppable. If a Marauder jumps us and neither of us are supported, the Marauder always loses.
As it stands, we don't have the damage to even pretend to compete with a Slayer. We have neither the sustained nor burst damage, which leaves us pressuring enemies with damage they have little difficulty overpowering.
Combined with lackluster healing, crippling mitigation and constant crowd-control, it's no wonder premades prefer to take an unskilled Salvation priest over a skilled Grace priest. Hell, we don't even have crowd-control of our own, while other DPS can knockdown, disarm, etc. Sure, we get a Silence at about level 35-36, but we don't have access to that right now.
Re: Warrior Priests - Grace
Part of my concern with block strike-through is how many people I've seen target tanks because of it, thinking they're supposed to. While it's a nice option when I haven't any other targets, I think it encourages very poor gameplay and builds a bad habit that is already rooted in a lot of people.Torquemadra wrote: Block strike through doesnt have to go, I think it needs to be augmented with parry strikethrough as well which would balanced out DW to still having increased defense and 2h being increased offense through defenses as opposed to 2h only having an "advantage" against targets that shouldnt be getting beat on anyway.
I remember a city which was literally me on a dok, around 40/50 against a WP who was 40/70ish with nice gear, at the end stage where we were both champions (as no one else there) it was a 20 minute duel and I won on the dok mostly on the basis of being able to parry many of his attacks and negate his self healing
Adding parry strikethrough would balance out entirely when one is facing the other
Ultimately, I think the biggest problem with buffing the class is dealing with the balance between the warrior priest's roots as a durable, front-line killer, and its ability to heal itself and others.

Ok....no let me tell you right now....people thinking "lolz i have block strikethough" is NOT the reason those baddies are targeting tanks....its quite simply because well....their baddies
i second the idea that 2h should get 10% strikethough both block and parry cause lets be real 10% parry with dw is pretty big

Re: Warrior Priests - Grace
I'm not saying it's the only reason they do it. As it stands we have enough people mindlessly headbutting tanks without having a statistic difference that encourages them to do so.TenTonHammer wrote:Ok....no let me tell you right now....people thinking "lolz i have block strikethough" is NOT the reason those baddies are targeting tanks....its quite simply because well....their baddies

For centuries some classes and specs were barely playable.
But they were made with a reason indecipherable to anyone but the creators themselves. Everything has a purpose woven by the Cosmic Math of the Ancients. It was the sacred balance that we inherited today and it is our duty to preserve it. For we are the RoR players who survived the catastrophe of live servers going down permanently.
Mythic are the Old Ones and they've forsaken us. Who are we to judge or alter their Great Plan?

Re: Warrior Priests - Grace
if they hit on tanks like that then they are bad players we shouldnt bother catering to and their actions become irrelevant.
Late game between dw, parry renown and weapon skill, parry chances get pretty high and 2h's need a very real upside bonus over this bogus 10% block strike through, if it werent for the fact that slayers and choppas run 2h's i would suggest 10% base armor penetration or something
Hows this for a suggestion, what if 2h also gave 10% parry?

Wouldn't mind it. If nothing else it would even the playing field. Though I'm concerned that, between renown, weapon skill and Sigmar's Vision that Warrior priests could get a parry rating high enough to effective shut down anything not ranged or magically based.TenTonHammer wrote:Hows this for a suggestion, what if 2h also gave 10% parry?
Re: Warrior Priests - Grace
5% block/parry strikethrough is enough.
