Sounds like any other SC where most of the enemy team has given up and stays at the spawn. However, EC is way faster.

I don't see that as a problem with EC, but as a problem with some player's behaviour.

I think the point is there has never been a 6v6 map in this game on flat land free of terrain coming into play. Even Caledor Woods had those stones you could stand behind. Iron Clad let order group heal from the bottom floor in safety of guards, EC's ledge etc.

Even organized 6v6's people say no potions etc but someone always cheats, even by accident, or their nerfbuttons uses consumables, and you can bring gimmick classes because you know your opponents strategy.

There has never been a good 6v6 in the history of this game. I think RoR should rectify that.

edit: love to see a 6v6 phoenix gate or searpents passage
edit: Daoc has a 8v8 channel, be cool to be able to tell other 6-mans in other realm to queue up. Maybe a leader of a 6man gains access to server wide channel for this. ;)

Yeah, and I do not think giving a ground for possible proper premade fight should be "like any other SC".

Edit: To above post, yes terrain comes to play even in EC with the stairs. It comes to play in all sorts of places, even on open rvr lake made up 6vs6's. BUT, those terrains are not "Lol, you died".

Even more reason why I think it's a good experiment to try. You already know I'm not 100% solo que biased. Group play is very enjoyable. I just think that this facet of the game (playing scenarios with pick-up groups only - ie pugs -) would/could be alot of fun. Why not try it?

EC was bunch of bullshit because the insta gib "Lel you are dead"-punts. Always some tank holing up at the very edge just punting people off if things went bit hairy for them. Leaving the other team to stand on the other side while picking their noses and waiting for resolute defense to have a chance at poking at said tank. Possible 6vs6 fights should not have such stupid crap in them. Actually preferred the Ironclad which had the "Hoho, I can heal from spawn" but that was not as effective because AoE heals.

Unless this is no longer true that won't be a problem...

As far as punts are concerned... it's part of the map if you can't handle positioning yourself correctly as a group and adapting don't que for it. I am sure we will get multiple 6v6 maps eventually.

Honestly, just do not make any exclusive group queue scenarios. Let the 6-man groups arrange the fights outside of the system, it worked ages ago and it will work still if anyone wants to.

Fighting in scenarios is much more fun and streamlined, the amount of time it takes to arrange a 6v6 and have everyone online on both sides is a pain in the ass compared to just queing up and playing against whoever else has a 6 man on at that time.

Like just make it how it was. Anyone can queue up for it. Premades will then in most likely chance queue up for it and most likely then meet opposing premades. But if things are slow, it can also create pug fights.
