Seems consistant. THe top buff or debuff takes priority and doesnt stack.
Is this a shitpost? Let me know through personal message.

Stacking rules are:
(ability1 || ability 2 || proc 1 || .... ) + (morale1 || morale2 || ...) + ( tactic1 && tactic2 && ...)
Note that for damage reductions, it is different. The highest in each class applies.
Could you please, for clarification, tell me if the following things are stacking:
1.) Detaunt + Challenge
2.) Guard + Challenge
3.) Immac + DBellow

Thanks.
1. Yes, I missed an important detail

2. Yes, I missed an important detail

3. No, Immaculate Defense is a 75% damage reduction, and that overrides Distracting Bellow. There is no distinction between "incoming and outgoing" damage. However, DB reduces the targets damage against everyone, whereas ID protects your group from all attackers. They still have different uses.

1. No. If you are hit by an enemy that you have detaunted and that has been challenged, you will take 50% damage. Both detaunted and challenge are abilitiea, so they do not stack.

2. No, same as above. If you are within guard range you will take 50% damage. If your guard leaves range, you will still only take 70% damage while challenge is in effect.

3. No, Immaculate Defense is a 75% damage reduction, and that overrides Distracting Bellow. There is no distinction between "incoming and outgoing" damage. However, DB reduces the targets damage against everyone, whereas ID protects your group from all attackers. They still have different uses.
According to Azas posts in this thread, challenge is treated as a tactic. Hell, it's even in the post that you quoted man :D

So you are wrong with 1 & 2.

You're right, I missed that important detail, my mistake.

Just out of curiosity why is Challange treated as a tactic I mean come on it's stated as a core ability. What on earth is a tactic then and what an ability it's just strange to me how they (mythic) made up their rules based on inconsistent behavior.

Challenge is treated as a member of the "tactic group" to ensure that it stacks with abilities and buffs, and other damage reduction tactics a player might be personally using. If you wanted challenge treated as a core ability, it will no longer stack with guard/detaunt as per the stacking rules above.

Makes sense, though it might have been easier/more intuitive to make Challenge its own stacking group to make it clear that it should work with just about everything.
