Yeah, unterstandably that your WB leader isn't particularly happy with losing bomb potential - I assume you want to pick up RoA if you are going for a solo roam spec?
Just to give you some input in regards to the mechanics involved:
Spoiler:
RoA is a channel, that means it'll disable your AAs and with that reduce your ST burst for the time being (it might not even proc stuff anymore, I don't know how it is that handeld on RoR - however, as it disables AAs it will disable that portion of procs aswell).
It can be parried (it has no undefendable trait to it) and interrupted, your best bet is using it in combination with RD (Resolute Defense) to gurantee that you are atleast getting some benefit from it.
Furthermore, it is mitigated by armor and - given that is a channel - heavily by toughness. (Channels have - just like casts - coefficients to them that make them very vulnerable to toughness since it got reworked, iirc.)
Generally speaking:
Spoiler:
It might sound fancy but outside soloroam it'd yield barely any sustain - especially in warbands; large engagements, in which there are generally a multitude of Challenges/Taunts and other CC flung around.
It essentially would require you to run suboptimal gear whilst RR70> just to keep ID and SL OR AoE snare, whilst losing R and FM to grab RoA - and you'd have no HD available to you either.
As it comes to soloroam you'd likely be better off with a spec looking like the normal ID spec with R, but opting for the AoE snare and the HD instead of SL (and maybe FM, it'd be up to debate whether FM is worth it without someone feeding you crit/being able to maintain high crit levels through gear and rr) with RR70> whilst relying on pots and R3 CW (Cleansing Winds) - especially considering the above - afterall.
Bear in mind:
Spoiler:
Slayer need really alot of min/max'ing, gear and very high RR (RR60 won't cut it I am afraid) to sucessfully soloroam with RoA as their main means of sustain, or alternatively a steady influx of bads to mow down.
If you are planning on running RoA for the sake of keeping yourself alive in warband sessions:
In engagements in which your healers cannot keep you up it is safe to say that RoA won't do the trick either, given the by then established enemy CC and overall pressure.
My suggestion to you:
Spoiler:
Run R3 CW instead of opting for RoA - its a 2min CD dumbfire oh-****-button that can completly restore your health and that cleanses every single debuff on you.
It doesn't lock you out of specs; doesn't cripple any of your dps departments, and moreso it doesn't lock you into a channel that can easily be dealt with and nullified.
R3 CW is basiclly RoA on steroids without any drawbacks whatsoever.
On a sidenote, min/max'd gear for soloroam would look like:
Spoiler:
A) the haste setup from my initial post, impervious set (full or 2/3 with -crit skaven ring), rest BL + -crit weapons from sc + wounds*/str talismans [makes up for the lack of sustain via proper damage]
B) 4/6 domi, impervious set (full or 2/3 with -crit skaven ring), rest BL + wounds talismans
C) 4/6 domi, impervious set (full or 2/3 with -crit skaven ring), t3 defensive set (avoidance), rest BL + -crit weapons from sc + wounds talismans [heavy investment in regards to grind]
(at best with purple bag cloak with on-use cleanse)
R1 RD + R1-3 CW across the board, avoidance stack for C), the rest of rr would be up to preference for the most part.
*To more quickly enable FM - if you even run it, which you probably should not given theres no one feeding you crit - and to otherwise circumvent your career mechanic. Toughness is an option too, but on a Slayer wounds yields better returns.
Slayer is arguably among the worst classes to soloroam with; any competent player will pay attention to your rage levels and apply CC to burst you down within its duration - you have to be able to live through that; you rely heavily on RD regardless.
SoS <can> help you against kds, that is if you manage to swap it out in time, but thats about it; its a hefty tradeoff.
1vX are out of bounds for the most part, the only exception are - again - terribad player.
Regardless of all the above:
Enjoy the game and the class - feel free to try and test it in its entirety, its afterall the best practive.
Soloroam will undoubtly help you learn about the limits of your class - among other things - rather quickly.
Please enjoy, share and comment regarding suggestions.
Please keep in mind that our Open WB are not full setup grps, this is Open Warband so can be random/PUGish.
Todays video doesn't count as a true CNTK WB video as we just logged on, whoever was on, any class didn't matter and just had fun.No real Objective besides having fun, being stupid doing things you wouldn't normally do in a real "Warband". We called this our CNTK LOLBand.
So please this time I'm asking, no comments about builds, party comp., strategy , "gettin rolled". This was just having fun and didn't really care.
Any Yes I know the CNTK logo is upside down... again "fun". didn't care
This was loads of fun thanks folks!
Technically most of the evening 3 healers trying to keep 7 squishy things standing with 0 tanks to guard them - should just a be a nightmare right? however:
- Listening to Karast on voice saying "run at them, more deeps!" while laughing because that was basically our plan and comms, outside of clever positioning - lol brilliant fun
- Debating who was getting more heals from Frank while waiting to see if the (actual) earthquake was over on voice - novel!
- Hearing BW's say "burn them!" and the sound of laughter, wonder and discovery of "Annihilate actually does a lot of damage?!" - incredibly appropriate
- Hearing and i quote "let me just remove that shield from my ass!" then the reply "no you might want to leave that their actually?" - lol shenanigans
- LOLBand taking 3 bags per zone each time and finishing 5 kill quests in DW - kudos to you guys and Karast's great fun lead
- Feeling of no pressure, just do what you do, spending most of the evening laughing at voice and the situations we got into, actually working as a team at the right times - priceless
Sign me up to any more LOLBands when i'm on thanks again folks! great video captures it perfectly hehe
Quick clip from our 6-14-17 CNTK Open Warband event.
Had some good fights, will actually call out Ocara, much respect in not giving up, standing and staying in the fights and in the end Destro took Reik. Good fights.
Any comments, suggestions or even requests are all appreciated and wanted as always.

Loving the snippet of the voice comms in the beginning, lol.
Abbd.: You might wanna cover that tooltip on the assist macro, giving away your mainassists name is probably not a good idea *cough*.
Abbd.: Additionally: Put it on a hotkey, you wanna gurantee fast targetswaps - that is if you don't have it on a hotkey already and your mainassist is to be trusted with his targetting... its one of the both. Actually, given the lack of voice comms/movement orders it might he might be just struggling to pick targets in range whilst following those order, if the latter is the case. I am curious.
Abbd.: Did forget to mention it in my earlier wall-of-texts: turn off the nametags, it greatly increases the performance and reduces fps lag/crashes - you, too, can turn off the status notifcations (out of AP/out of range/...) somewhere in the options.
Abbd.: Last (hopefully, lol, on a Add. spree here) but not least, reconsider your M1 - its literally just 2sec more of parry/dodge, Untouchable is 5sec 100% avoidance across the board; your mainassist pops it whenever hes being focus'd (in earlier videos aswell), he would have died in those situations if he were running the M1 you run.

Thanks for comment and suggestions.
Yes I have MA on hotkey already. We get constant voice comms all the time, I just remove our comms ( unless funny ) from videos. Not too sure why knowing my MA name is an issue really, as we change it around for testing purposes. Now target calling via voice doesn't really happen, but we are always trying different things Aldo.
Thanks again like I said for comment and suggestions.
First RR90 Slayer working towards the top of the mountain.I still solo, still run riposte.
