i guess it happens cos i was online and in scenario during server restart for patching

I was not in SC while restart ... I was in Altdorf with a lvl 20 char. So dont think it is related to the SC

Not me, I'm logged out in Troll Country and wasn't even online during the patching.

No its not. Wasn't online like 1 day and i got this problem too.

Interestingly, does everyone have the same issue, or only some? The site just currently displays about 700 people in the game ...

there is streams with people playing.

I wasn’t online at all, just 30 min ago when i started the launcher the patch was downloaded and an issue appeared.

Same here - wasn't online, started it up, patched, connect, pick a char, zone-in screen, then booted with "The server has closed your connection. This could be because the server is restarting, or because you were removed by server staff. Please check the website for server status."

its' hit or miss, i have a few characters that can log in , but otheres that can't Server restart it seems now
