Pretty much killed everything I like about Warhammer Fantasy. Real shame...

I think the thing that upsets me most is they have taken a massive S*** all over the lore and stories. Taken away years of depth and backdrop and replaced it with a bad hash of 40k.

The more I read the new lore, the more I can't help but agree. I could accept a world wipe or major characters dying off to propel the story forward... but the result is literally a different world.

I might come to like this new world, but I'll like it as something different. It reminds me of a very high fantasy setting, a lot like Might and Magic. :/

Haha. Specifically I was thinking of the Haven units whom wear quite ridiculously over sized plate armour,

wield very large weapons and have a very "Holy" vibe,

I expect this from the very high fantasy Might and Magic. Warhammer, to me, felt more like an analogue of our real world combined with magic and myth.

And there will definitely not be a 9th edition. This looks like its been made up in a mad panic.

Just watched a few reviews and games of the new war. Most were over in 2 turns. Heroes absolutely demolish everything. High Elves and Chaos just bull rush everything with there high power units without unit costs.

Also listened to a few fan theories that seemed to make sense.
Last year GW were working on a 30k version of 40k with earlier proto space marines.
In the old lore the first space marine were known as the thunder warriors. They had the hammer and lightening as their standard. As we know sigmar is the twin tailed comet, always has been. The sigmarines have the hammer and lightening.

Look to me like this is the 30k project they were working on and they have just gone **** it let just retire fantasy and shoehorn this in its place. We will just make the lore fit somehow so it doesnt look like were just ending fantasy. They might been even trying to link the franchise like they did years ago with Sigmar as the actual god emperor not just a lost primarch.

Actually Sigmar can not be lost primarch because place of his birth is described in all bloody details. Emperror from 40k ? Thats just delirium.

In around 5th edition Sigmar was the lost primarch but they retconned it. As it seems these new sigmarines are the protomarines thunder warriors they might have retconned it again.

If "Age of Sigmar" was there another game based on warhammer fantasy, still existing the original one, yes... I would try to get more information about and maybe buy some miniatures. But isn´t that, its a fake a parody of Warhammer, no it´s worse, that game kills old warhammer fantasy history and only for that i dont like nothing about it.

Sorry for my bad english, and my apologize to poeple who like the new version. I think Games Workshop it´s on a very very great mistake.

Specially that fact to give the RoR Developers and people who works on RoR thanks for your work.
I could not agree more with this. Its things like this Mod and the people who work tirelessly on it that will keep the old Warhammer alive

Never played Tabletop (it is incredibly uncommon here in South America) but i completely love the Old World.

I remember how i was introduced to this world. I was at college and went to the library to buy some Psycology book. Then i saw this book cover with a badass steam-punk barbarian and a just-as-badass blonde warrior (that's what they looked like to me, i didn't even notice one of them was a Dwarf). My first thought was "these guys look like they could take whole armies by themselves, i wonder which one is the strongest?".

That's how i bought Trollslayer and got introduced to this amazing fantasy setting.

Several books later (own every single G&F book, Malus Darkblade, and just started working on Age of Legends, or is it Time of legende?) and this is by far my favorite setting ever.

GW, to hell with you!!!!!
