I feel like what your suggesting above will have no impact on the quality of fights. It's just keep traded and an added bonus of more Renown/Inf/Exp to the bigger zerg at the end.
I already started doing this -.-

<3 Thank you

I'm arguing for patience, please don't misunderstand me. I don't think there is an instant fix. I believe that, we will go through many different incarnations and changes before a combination of fixes results in a good system.

I'm just asking those who are looking for a faster fix to allow you to add one change at a time. AAO + The Current system, if that doesn't help go from there. We won't be able to gauge the effect of AAO if you change something huge along with it.

I honestly love the system you suggested. I think the server population will be too small to have all the zones unlocked across 4 tiers.

I also would rather slam my head in a doorway over and over than trade undefended keeps.

It's honestly not your fault, utlimately it comes down to the community. The community has to decide, fun is more important than the easiest path to the carrot. Tho, AAO should make the path the the carrot more entertaining. ^_-

The system is flawed, and this is obvious. I'm not going to stand here and defend it, because there's no point - time after time we've seen zerging and snowballing, and this is a product of the system. What I'm opposed to is doing more work to turn the system back into keep trading.

What we need is a system that is implementable, with multiple win conditions, which can still be definitely won by a side when the sides are actually balanced - unlike the current system. It should also break up zergs. We could use a fix for crossrealm ****, but that's not likely to come (and the knowledge of this is a core reason as to why I'm bored and exasperated by the RvR issue and am really focusing on abilities rather than this.)

Right now the agenda is to implement AAO at some point, then look at greater modifications. I've no hope for anything solid, though - because of both crossrealming and an inability to enforce numerical balance in the lakes.

i worked on something in past days, but i'm sure no one wanna see it cos:

it's complex, it's a mega -text-wall and ppl don't like what i write...so..

If anything there is a bit of arrogance in telling others how they should play. The way I enjoy playing WAR isn't any better than the way you enjoy playing WAR.

I think it's kind of arrogance of anyone to tell people they have to play how I do or they're doing something wrong and have a bad attitude.
I don't want to tell other players what to do, or how to play. That would be wrong of me. This is however a game about massive PvP. It's kind of the point of the game. But no one is saying they HAVE to zerg, or they HAVE to face the opposition's zerg. But... NOT doing that, is kinda like NOT raiding on a WoW private server, where it's the only thing to do, besides leveling professions or alts. It doesn't really make a lot of sense.
Luuca is just trying to get people to pull their finger out, and pull themselves together. I honestly thought it was mainly a moral problem for destro, but having read the quotes that Luuca wrote, it just goes to show that they think that they are too good to play with the "plebs", and it's too much for their own good.

You gotta able to critize bad attitudes.

The problem is that making a good version of AAO would take a very long time. If nothing is done in all that time, I fear moral of both factions is gonna crumble. Order is gonna be bored of PvEing keeps, and Destro tired of standing afk in wc, waiting for SC pops. It will probably make the community drop in numbers over time.

I'm one of the people Luuca quoted. He asked me in a private message if I'd be interested in getting a big Warband together. I appreciated what he was trying to do, but I wasn't interested in that style of PvP.

I said, very politely, that I don't enjoy the large scale style of RvR. I enjoy small group fights, when our group gets too large, it makes small intimates fights harder to find.

That doesn't mean, I think I'm too good to play with the others. I try to be friends and nice to everyone. I'm open to playing with most people, when your running around with 10 people, you need to find 10 people to fight to make it an even fight. It has nothing to do with arrogance.

I'm not suggesting they don't add AAO, I'm saying not to add AAO and change the entire way the locking system works at the same time. Add AAO, see the effect that has, than change the system if it's still necessary.

Not in your case, obviously. But it still a thing among the destro players. I'm just talking generally. I fully respect your playstyle, roaming and all those things. What you are doing is basically what most guilds did in live, in my experience. Maybe not with 6 people, but with like half a wb, or whatever number of players were online in the guild. But you are facing the zerg daily. You are clearly not part of the problem. I'd argue you are part of the solution. We just need more players like you. You don't NEED a zerg, per say. You just need a sufficient number of players to combat the opposition. If that magic number is 10 vs 30, then that's the magic number. But if you only have 5, then you're screwed.

It doesn't mean all the players have to be grouped up into one giant wb. It can just as well be 4 seperate groups of 6 people, doing their own roaming. But the problem is that most people aren't even doing that. They are just standing in the wc, doing nothing. Or PvEing, or leveling crafing skils, or stalking the AH.

I didn't say you were saying that. But adding AAO is gonna take a long time. I already said that. Azarael have said that. So, if nothing is being done in all that time, I fear that people are goona lose hope in this project. We need a "quick fix" until AAO can be implemented. That's all I'm saying. Otherwise people are just gonna quit.

What I meant with this post is that I already changed the system to open all 3 zones at once, and then reset them all once they're all locked. x_x

The thing is... order warbands are really not made of RR30 level-capped players.
But for order, there is just no place to go farm hundred of champs and level to 26 inside the city... I found a few level 13 trolls in the streets of Altdorf, and we have several high-level trolls here on the forums, but they don't give any XP :-)
So the new order players start right in oRvR, and the order WBs are rather welcoming and friendly.
Yesterday Krumlok was leading a whole lot of destro players... where do they go the rest of the time???
