Compatibility mode to Win 8 on *RoRLauncher.exe* as well as running as admin worked for me to fix it.

Try spam connect as administrator like 5 times. It happened to me and tried it succesfully atleast 3 times.

I'm having this issue as well, the "run as admin" and continual restarts have not worked. Think I may have a difference though, my "connect" button does grey out, then nothing happens. No launch, nothing.

Start once, then shut that window down, start another one and as soon as the connect button becomes yellow press it. Helps me every single time!

Same thing happens to me now, yesterday it worked, today it dsnt. running as administrator & read only off. Dont know what to do

Had the connect button doesn't work problem but admin helped that.

But then once I got through that I get the error message dialog box:

SOrry. May have found the answer in another thread. Working on it.

I got it. Sorry about that. Did a search and it said my directory structure was read-only so I make it write for the folder and subfolders and it worked. takes longer than I usually hae to wait though. so if it doesn't work for some people, be a bit more patient
