and that scenario happens once in a lifetime the other time you just toss around free immunities but then again it is a matter of preference and if you enjoy it, it is all good. Because it's super BORING!
Carnage is where all the fun is at lvl40.
OYK and pierce armor is what defines this class even if in some situations this build is less effective...
Witchbrew might be stronger, but for fun nothing beats using Heartseeker on a target, self-punting off his tank (staggering him in the process) just to land close to a rdps and using On Your Knees! when he tries to kite.
Fun.

Yeah, as i said i was only talking about personal preference. I already acknowledged Witchbrew is the stronger spec (by a lot; getting several WB procs in a sec is pretty powerful).
The scenario i described happened to me several times on live while doing solo RvR. In my case it's definitely not a once-in-a-lifetime thing, and i won several fights thanks to that spec (and managed to escape from enemy reinforcements several times too thanks to having 2 KDs on top of my self punt). Would i have done better with Witchbrew? It's a possibility. But who cares, i had fun.

Re: witch elf build aka Rip your spine before action
so disregard what I said about needing the cc and IP if you plan to be solo ganking.
apparently witchbrew isn't functioning like it did on live - allowing all 5 points of brew to proc without an ICD -
if that is the case - then your most viable group play spec (wb and BLB) just became the best solo gank spec as well.
enjoy

I agree with all that!
I won't argue that especially for 6vs6 Witchbrew build is better but in everyday life Welf's luck of CC is a deal breaker for me...OYK fills that gap somewhat. Pierce armor is epic too

However I would even propose to give them a regular snare.
It won't be OP imo especially with the melee lag and the bunnyhoping that we face in current state of the game

Currently you can get several WB procs in a second (2 from HRT, 1-2 from autoattacks) giving you huge burst.mursie wrote:so disregard what I said about needing the cc and IP if you plan to be solo ganking.

And this is how it worked on live. You guys do the comparison and see for yourselves if there is a difference or not.

Re: witch elf build aka Rip your spine before action
It was Nydig that noted the difference in wb the other day. On Live WB had an ICD between procs. A 5 point WB would take up to 10 seconds in many cases to be fully used.Penril wrote: Currently you can get several WB procs in a second (2 from HRT, 1-2 from autoattacks) giving you huge burst.

On RoR there is apparently no ICD... creating huge burst.
As nydig said "if they don't fix this before T4, witch elves with IP and WB will be absolutely broken"

Re: witch elf build aka Rip your spine before action
In tooltip there is nothing like: "this effect procs only once per 1(or 2) seconds. Tooltip says it procs with EVERY attack. Every attack is meant skills and AA procs. I see nothing wrong here.mursie wrote:It was Nydig that noted the difference in wb the other day. On Live WB had an ICD between procs. At this current level cap 31, most WEs run standard treachery build(50% crit dmg tactic, 3s knockdown,Elixir of cauldron) Its best for soloing, 1v1, but I found extremely hard to kill in scenario with many order healers around. My opinion Witchbrew spec is currently most suitable for party or premade assisting.
When level cap increases to lvl 36,37 it will be possible to run carnage spec up to OyK and PA combined with treachery 50% crit dmg tactic.
I doesnt agree with statement, that playing WE is easy. Hell no. You must pickup your targets carefuly and mostly play the style "Hit(kill) and run". If any WE just spam AW, its just bad WE. Especialy with Witchbrew spec is necesary to maintain envenoment blade + wracking pain on target and when its fully debuffed from wracking pains(-105ws and toughnes) and hearth render toxin(-83 wounds)+50% inc heal debuffand You have enought bloodlusts, than use Witchbrew and spam AW.
Witchbrew proc it self doesnt make that insane preasure, but combine the envenoment blade(2-3stacks), wracking pains, kiss proces AND witchbrew make that insane burst dmg.

I never said it was right or wrong. I just linked an old Nydig video so everyone can see how it worked on live and if there is a difference or not with RoR.
