Don't get me wrong. I support full Open RvR. But it's my understanding that the server is on the core ruleset, and thus flagging players using a bug in the AoE targeting code is a violation of that ruleset. This doesn't contradict with permissiveness of roleplaying, as the vast majority of such roleplaying is well within the core rules.

If we're going to take the attitude that everything is justified because it's an RvR game (even abusing to flag players), we should just codify it and have everyone flagged.

I'd actually be interested to see how many people actually support permanent RvR flagging.

+1 permanent RvR this is what the game is about (not endorsing bad behaviour though)

As long as you get very very little for killing ppl lower then yourself and much for killing stuff higher then yourself it is fun as hell.

EDIT: I Always thought WCs should be conquerable and Bosses in them killable with nice RvR loot. So if one side dominates they can try push WC much like a keep. That instead of ppl hiding and no action

Well, that actually changes the full thing out of this. Close the thread and lets create a pinned poll about that.

I would prefer if someone other than me could make the poll, but OK, let's do that.

i fully accept that abusing the aoe bug is bad, but it's not like there's mass exploitation. raiding enemy lands is extremely uncommon to begin with

camping starting areas is kinda shitty too but it's one of those things that a lot of people are gonna do once just to see if they can. that's how it started, we just wanted to see if we could actually make it there, and when we did, we raised some hell in celebration. hell three of the new players we killed decided to go roll green instead cause they found it funny

i just don't like ototos attitude of "it offends me so it shouldn't be allowed." it's an open world game with a lof of personality and charm, we don't need overly sensitive people like him telling us what we can and can't do for fun

this game has had real assholes, real genuine assholes who have really crossed the line (for example a certain SW i'm sure we all remember) and so many players complained about them that they were banned. on this one though, i think it's obvious that most people are just seeing ototo as being unnecessarily soft

Yes. There has been much worse than this in the early days of RoR, and I wouldn't even have posted in this thread if it weren't for the accusations within. I'd just prefer to see someone attacked for what is true about them, rather than based on a lie.

I have to admit a highlight in the game was when I ninja snuck in into EMP T2 order WC and ambushed order. Died at least 10 times trying to figure out how then killed 2-3 and got spanked hard by an angry bunch of stunties. Even think the guys chasing me enjoyed it. Was fun as hell not sure if it was legit though.

It was just one of those wonder if this works ,,, yep it did ... o **** o **** ... respawn

(Still killing newbies over and over should be stomped on!)

tazdingo wrote:you're one of these perpetual victims dude, always feeling sorry for yourself and taking things way too personally... you really need to calm down. killing enemies in a pvp game is not bullying. believe me i lose aaaalllllll the time, but i don't blame those who killed me, and i don't say they were bullying or harassing me - i blame myself

the people we ambush in bloodhorn, they learn. sometimes we'd kill one dude then get absolutely stomped when he got his friends and came back for us - this one time, we got absolutely schooled by a single AM who just kited us for like half an hour

but i didn't come on here and make a thread crying about how that AM was "bullying" us like you did - we went and recruited a couple squig herders so we could snare the git at range and get him next time. we lost hard and learned hard

if you can't handle that, go play club penguin
sorry, just cannot see how people have glossed over this..... a single AM schooled your group?.... (keep in mind AM's do not yet even have cc like MoM or ranged KB)....so bad you had to ask a couple of SH...not 1 SH mind you.. but a couple... so you could get close to him...

Hate to say it but that in itself is your defense about being a bully... no group that gets kited for that long by any toon without cc is worthy of the name "bully".... just my two satang.

*possible exception*.....unless it was llondo... lazer or rios on the AM..and your entire group was lagging to hell.. in starter armour... and drunk.. then maybe , and only maybe, you can lift your head amongst fellow orcs....
Always hopeful of finding a DPS AM guild.. if anyone ever sees one, with low entrance standards, please let me know..

we were a drunk BO and three undergeared choppas playing extremely recklessly. we had to swim across a river to dodge champs whilst he just pelted us from the shore
we were a lite-RP greenskin partytime train not a serious pvp group

I disagree with the notion that this is an "open world game"; skyrim is an open world game WAR/RoR is a directed game with the "illusion" of being open world to be open world means you can got any where and do anything you want but the chicking system and lvl 50 npc guards in all the chapters are proof that the game had the ideology that "you pvp here and you rvr there, once you reach a certain you need to move on and go there." It's directed and defiantly ment to keep destro and ordo seperate until they meet at rvr lakes and then seperating again.
Which is why I disagree with you azarael this once, if you are going for a mythic like server then perms at pvp flagging is not a step you should take
