I logged. I'll check back tomorrow.
How many other players are staying away from the game out of boredom because of the zone mechanics??

Re: Open the 3 zones already
3 out of the 4 latest Evenings its bin downto several hours in 1 Zone in 1 pairing and its for me as a roamer extremly boring. It gets so Zergy feels like LotD and well that to me is the lowest grade I can give it.
I get Guild WB and somewhat organized WB wanna keep farming the AB WBs but doubt it can be for the rest. However as long as Sieging has no appeal or benefit for them this wont end.
Iam for opening more Zones, maybe whenits bin locked into 1 zone for a nr of hours open a new on a timer. Something to break the stalemate situation cause in my view a 5 star lock is fail in RvR.

Re: Open the 3 zones already
Seems like the reasoning behind always having one zone closed was to protect the way to a fort. Why not just put portals to forts in each realm's main city? Or you could still always have 1 zone closed, but make it a rotating. Where if a zone gets locked (regardless of who locks it) open closed zone. seems so simple, yet we are stuck with this one zone/pairing for hours or days.

Re: Open the 3 zones already
Regardless of who won the forts, the system should always reopen and reset a second zone to the T2 pairing.
Now that cities are scheduled and dont depend upon forts takes anymore (except to determine the attacked city), and that players can now teleport to city, the old system has no purpose anymore.
The second closed pairing should automatically reopen the first locked one, i.e. If Empire pairing is locked, the dwarf pairing is locked too, the Empire pairing should reopen from T2 zones, to get at least two open zones at any time.
It should also lead to more interest and more dynamic for campaign, now that you allow players to actively reset pairings, more benefits to all :
- Allow more opportunities to fight in T2-3 zones, especially when you cannot go back from T4 when you reach it).
As for myself, in like one month I never had the chance to fight in TC or BV anymore, since pairings dont reset often... Those maps are very unique flavors and should be open far more often.
- Allow people to complete some quests wich require to make kills in those zones (i.e. the new "hidden" quest in KaK wich need you to kill 100 elves in Shadowlands/Ellyrion, nigh impossible to do with this system, especially considering the locking speed on theses zones).
- Make more various battlefields for everyone, who can enjoy their preffered maps (not everyone enjoy endless KV or Praag 24/7)
- Make room for small groups and warbands who dont enjoy zergfest, and chill play / smart ambushes, solo roaming etc.
- Reduce the need to fight for less enjoyable maps (KV, Caledor and TM are hearthfull hated by many :p )
- Reduce the need to zerg in same zone, wich is priceless for most of us who dont especially enjoy wc farming all night...

Re: Open the 3 zones already
Not fan of the 3 open zones but 2 are a must imo. Only 1 open zone limit the playstyle pretty much so reopen second pairing if one get locked

Re: Open the 3 zones already
I remind before scheduled cities, you had a 8h timer before pairing reset, when two pairings had been locked by opposite factions ; I suggest either automatically unlock the first locked pairing when the second one become locked, or re-introduce the timer on forts (8 hours is a bit long, I suggest max 4 hours, but no timer at all should be better IMO).
Hopefully we will see better dynamic, like I remember having before, when you could strategically play over two zones and setup traps, deceptive sieges, rank two zones or just change gameplay a bit, accordingly to active population.

Re: Open the 3 zones already
The main reasoning for why we have this situation with one open zone available, was when we swapped from 3 to 2 open zones system. So that when a scheduled city was fireing off the locked pairing was giving a captured fortress-zone as entry to the enemy city gate. but with the portals in place now(?) surely this is no longer needed, and maybe we could just go back to instead of situations with one zone open in case of 1desto pairing win & one order pairing win, we would instead just open the first pairing that was locked?
An other old system that could be revisited was that a zone would lock after a certain lifespan to progress the campaign and prevent these stalemates. in this case the highest level keep or the most total kills in the zone for one realm would determine in which direction the zone would lock?

Re: Open the 3 zones already
stalemate prevention mechanism like timer that gives zonelock to highest level keep faction would be better than granting lock to faction with more kills. haven't really thought about it, but it feels like "kills"-only mechanic could be abused.
Re: Open the 3 zones already
today - another time waste with one zone open the hole day.
come on, give me back the 3rd zone.
