I'm confused about CHM!. People are saying that you can't move while using it, but it clearly says in the tooltip that you can, but it just snares you by 40%.
Penril: Disorients are tricky without being able to edit the client. I can do it, but I will have to send a different buff, because the client does the castbar modifications and it expects a Disorient-linked buff.

Re: Changelog 14/09
It's possible. TBH i haven't used CHT in RoR and in Live i only used it for PvE when i was a lowbie.Azarael wrote:I'm confused about CHM!. People are saying that you can't move while using it, but it clearly says in the tooltip that you can, but it just snares you by 40%.
I editet my post. It is still useless for PvP even if you move at 60% speed since any decent player will just get behind your back and negate your block. Maybe that's what people meant by "not being able to move" since in any fight, moving at 60% speed is like being immobile anyway.
Keep in mind CHM is now a 14 point skill.
From what i have seen on SMs, i believe they might have the same problems i mentioned for BOs. In effect, this change is awesome for T2-T3 but won't make any difference at all in t4.

Re: Changelog 14/09
I mentioned internally that if CHM! remains at 14pts, removing the speed reduction would be a valid adjustment. As far as I've heard, channeled defenses have enough vulnerabilities already, and SM doesn't get slowed when using WODS.
Re: Changelog 14/09
I'm just tossing out suggestions. As i said, with this change BOs will be very strong DPS tanks. But utility-wise they will be the same (in T4).Azarael wrote:I'm confused about CHM!. If disorients are complicated then let's think about something else. My point was that if CHM and WAAAGH are not changed, then BOs will be pretty much in the same spot in T4. I guess this applies to SMs as well with Crushing Advance (although Whispering Winds is much better than Waaagh).
Re: Changelog 14/09
Well, I don't mean tricky in terms of complexity. I mean in terms of players having to accept that WAAAAGH! would debuff them with another class' debuff, visually. I'm not sure if that's going to end up being an issue.
Re: Changelog 14/09
Then maybe just change the debuff to something more useful. Corporeal is kinda useless (i can only think of DPS Zealots doing Corporeal damage on destro; sorcs go mostly single target in T4 which is spirit). Maybe change it to an armor debuff (like Da greenest! was supposed to do in 1.4.9). For SMs, add a AoE armor debuff as well to CA.Azarael wrote:Well, I don't mean tricky in terms of complexity. Dunno. Don't flame me, just tossing out some random ideas. Not really asking for anything.
Re: Changelog 14/09
If SM/BO don't get picked up in the meta because of a lack of utility/group buffs why not buff/change the stat steal to something more reliable? Or is that impossible atm?
I don't think it will matter how good of a dps/tank you will make BO/SM, if they don't have something on par with their counterparts in terms of group buffing and debuffs, then they will not be considered meta/good.

Re: Changelog 14/09
The stat steal is the only good bellow we have. It is random, yes, but a utility spec'd BO spamming AoE snares will be stealing pretty much all the stats. Combined with high spec in Da brawler!, the stat steal can be pretty good/high. Imho stat steal should be left untouched/unchanged.Jaycub wrote:If SM/BO don't get picked up in the meta because of a lack of utility/group buffs why not buff/change the stat steal to something more reliable? Re: Changelog 14/09
The problem with stats is they are static, the increase or decrease damage/mitigation etc... by a flat amount with the exception of weapon skill.
The reason knight is an apex tank is because the crit, and healing tactic they have access to scale, 15% increased healing could be a tremendous difference from 120 willpower, 20% crit is probably a tremendous dps increase compared to 120 str/ws...
What are the values at lvl 40 for natures blade anyways 120 right? Auras are... I forget?

Re: Changelog 14/09
Another option would be giving SMs and BOs a AoE crit debuff.
WAAAGH now decreases the enemies chance to crit by 15%.
Make something similar with Crushing Advance (i kee mentioning CA because with current changes, it is now a 14 points skill).
