Anyway, a clean reinstall fixed the launcher issue, hooray! (though now I can't open my backpack in-game, go figure)
Exit game, close the launcher, launch it again, fixed.

Hi, with the new update files from now seems there is a failure. Sophos Enterprise and Avira Antivir found both a active Malware and quarantined the launcher while the update was in progress. Before today there were no issues with the new launcher for me.

Yes, explained several times already.
The Launcher is not Malware.
Reason is the Antivir Scanners use heursitic methods to find out if it is dangerous.
As no on knows the RoRLauncher.exe the Scanner thinks it is dangerous.

I removed them form my antivir list and then the launcher runs good.

Sry but this advise is grossly negligent.
No one can assure you, that files in the near future are affected by virus/trojans etc. With your advise these files will go unchecked to your harddrive/PC etc. And this is not an option for me.
I use my pc for my job und i can't risk this.
Beside this, i don't have the privileges to set the launcher to a white list of my av. This can only do the admin from my company.
His answer is: no green card for bad programmed applications!

So is it possible to get the old launcher working or other fixes to the new launcher?

After updating the grey button issue is fixed - means I can hit "connect" after leaving the game without restarting the launcher but then I get an error:

Disconnected from server. Error: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): Nawiązane połączenie zostało przerwane przez oprogramowanie zainstalowane w komputerze-hoście (connection has been terminated by a software installed on the host workstation)
w System.Net.Sockets.Socket.BeginReceive(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size, SocketFlags socketFlags, AsyncCallback callback, Object state)
w RoRLauncher.Client.k4avtHjZvHLXgkdphSd(Object , Object , Int32 , Int32 , SocketFlags , Object , Object )
w RoRLauncher.Client.BeginReceive()
w RoRLauncher.Client.nYN3HMwcp0MHFoyEbTY()
w RoRLauncher.Client.aTeZhtuHK8(Object )

Restarting the launcher helps until next game restart.

The only way to get it immediately approved by antivirus programs is to get an Extended Validation code signing certificate. We did however purchase a standard code signing certificate. Which means the programs released will not get an immediate whitelist on AV programs but will do as more people use them.

I am not sure what you mean by bad programmed applications.

You can see the file is signed here:

I don't know, if the launcher is the problem.
The launcher start downloading and patching without an interaktion from the AV. Then after a few files the launcher tries to download another file. After this download is complete the launcher get the shutdown from the AV.

i mean nothing, because i have no programming skills. this was the answer from the admin of my company, when i asked him to put the launcher to a whitelist.
